Just bought one with same interior and exterior colors. Its 2013 and has had 7600 miles. Drives like a dream, becomes a monster in sport + , been warned about the air suspension in the front. If it was a 6cylenders I wouldn't consider it. Thank you for the review

I daily a 2011 panny turbo. Carrera white over full yachting blue interior with brushed aluminum. In Michigan. With kids. Car has been phenomenal.

The air suspension on my 2010 failed on the right front. The car did not lift when started. It was very noticeable. About a $1750 repair at Porsche dealer. The creaking noise you may hear in the front is likely the failure of a rubber grommet in the front suspension assembly. Mine did the same. That repair was around $2200 at the dealer. They told me it was quite common. Beautiful car, great performance, I drive it year round in Central Wisconsin and very good traction on snow. It's expensive to maintain though.

How long should the air suspension last. . . Time & Miles? I have a 2016 GTS and I think about it, but haven’t had any issues. I do notice a little bit of a creaking noise when the car has sat and it is cold, but it goes away quickly when starting a drive.

Oh it even has the Porsche lugguage of the time 😍 Wonderful video! If you guys are in Germany let me know, you can film a follow up video of my manual Panamera S, which was not available in the US.

We just got back from a 400 mile roadtrip, which included some fun roads, with our two shepherds in our Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo. I’ve simply never driven a better road trip car. It’s WAY faster than it needs to be and handles great for a giant, heavy car. Plus the highway ride is very comfortable and our dogs are happy in the back. I’m so bummed the wagon isn’t offered in the next generation.

Very fair review; having had both generations would say the steering feel is really nice on the first gen, probably prefer the looks of the first gen as it’s more distinctive and rounded in keeping with Porsche dna, panamera can do it all pretty well

Best exterior and interior colors. With the yachting mahagoni and sport plus seats it would be nearly perfect

how reliable are these? if anyone has video recommendations or articles would be helpful. and would considering the turbo be advisable? definitely do not was the 6 cylinder

Happy to hear that. Panamera is certainly something to consider. Good combination of luxury and speed.

Without putting it in Sport Plus mode, you really can't comment on fun factor. I took my 2010 S to a Porsche Club Autocross day and the only cars faster around the course were all race prepped cars. This thing is a beast in Sport Plus .

torn between this and next gen with updated interior but not sure i want the 2.9 turbo over the V8 even though every V8 porsche has been problematic that I have owned.

If you’re talking about some of the recent Panamera 4Ss with the 2.9 Turbo, I’d probably go with one of those purely because of the progress made to suspension and drivetrain. They drive really well. 2.9 sounds good, not great. If you have to have the V8 and are not in the market for a recent second-gen twin-turbo V8 GTS, can’t go wrong with a first-gen pre-update 4S or even Turbo. As you said, the V8s love attention, to put it nicely.

Perhaps I am a bit off here, but I simply do not understand why Damon compares this car constantly, with 911/Cayene /Cayman, during the review.
This is a large luxury 4-door. IMHO, it should be compared against similar: MB S-class, BMW 7-series, Lexus LS, Jaguar XJ, etc, etc...

I had one as a loaner way back in 2010 while my 997.2 C2S was in for scheduled service and, yes, all throughout my time with it I kept saying to myself that it was big. I could not maneuver around my work parking lot or the dealer lot comfortably. I hated the looks initially, but now I don't mind them so much. I wish Porsche offered a manual option like they did with the Cayenne.

My 2010 4S has more miles (130000km). When pushed handles much 'smaller' than it is. I use it as a winter car as well, which it handles very well. I prefer my Mahogany over Cedar/cognac and walnut interior, compared to the colour of the tested car. Damon skips over the versatility of the huge hatch, which offsets the butt ugly butt of the car. The rest is beautiful, especially with the Sport Turismo. Since I don't aspire to a Cayenne, like Damon. I prefer the Panamera.😃

No I have a better one! A 2010 Porsche panamera turbo with every option with just 14k miles on it all original one owner no accidents. Always parked in a heated garage. $130k new. It’s only been driven on weekends and has never sat. Black on dark grey with the giant red calipers. One of the nicest cars we’ve ever owned.. we like it better than our 2003 Mercedes E55 AMG which has 530hp. We keep our cars original.

The big butt Panamera. The ugliest Porsche ever. The German Pontiac Aztek. What's weird is how big the exterior dimensions are and how limited the interior space is. However, having once driven a 2018 Turbo, the car has fun factor that's quite comparable to an M5.

Ditto. Legroom is cramped. For that size it was supposed to be a big limousine at the back.
But at least the headroom is decent.
