I've been wondering that myself. In his flashbacks with Shanks we know he argued like a child with him, he was kept in line by Rayleigh and he apparently respected and mourned the death of Rodger. Aside from that, we don't know how he acted with the others.

By the looks of it, there could be more ships, each one commanded by a Vice Admiral along with one ship commanded by an admiral. Leaving the chance of a screw up reduced, since they've proven that they haven't been successful lately. But I'm just basing that on what they said about Sakazuki strengthening the Marines.

I didn't expect less from ODA, since One Piece is a big serie, it really needs a Battle Royale movie where all-stars are in one place with a logical scenario to meet up all of them.
