    I just got a low roof 1500 with the 136 wheelbase and I love it. Your video is definitely giving me some great ideas for future modifications :)

      Great tour Wayward travelers. Simplicity. I saw a van like yours and it had a mosquito net tent all the way around the van from right side to the rear doors. It easy hooked up with magnets, and dropped with weighted poles; you can use only on side door if you want. Pole concept. ...You can make one. ,,,

    Great video. Despite the background noise, you did a comprehensive cover of all the basics! I'm curious to know if this van would fit under a standard 7 foot height carport if it didn't have all that was added above it's roof level? Thanks!

      If it didn't have the rack, maybe. Depends on tires, it's close. But without the rack it would lose a lot of its utility.

    Very nice setup. How much did you pay for your 2016 Promaster? I'm in the market, I've been searching real hard man, Can't find anything for reasonable buck. ❤

    do you run a hose for the water that drips outside from the a/c ?

    • @WaywardTravelers
      @WaywardTravelers  Год назад +2

      That is an excellent question. Window units have difficulties in this arena, ie no attachment point for a hose. I used a funnel that I fitted with rare earth magnets, then routed the hose through the floor, exiting behind the spare tire.

    Daaaym, those bugs are noisy!!
    I don't know why Van lifers think they are stealthy. By now with the huge influx to this lifestyle the jig has been up a long time ago.

      You're not wrong. But it does somewhat depend on where in the world you are. California = Everybody knows. Somewhere like New Orleans or Oklahoma, not so much. And yes, Florida cicadas will make themselves known. Thanks for chiming in.
