After using this vacuum for several months, the power or suction started making an oscillating sound. Turns out, this machine has a feature to remind you every 15 hours of use to change the dust bag. The LED indication on the side of the canister will flash slowly. To reset the vacuum, unplug it and plug it back in again, then it the small reset button. This will reset your 15 hours.

I'm a huge fan of Central Vacuum systems. About 2 years ago, I changed my power unit from a 1970's Nutone to an Imperium CV300. The new Power unit is "dumb" meaning that control panel knows nothing more than On and Off. I prefer it this way since there's less to go wrong. Plus, The power is super!

What are the other signals on the board ?I see an amber and a red. What are they indicative of and what is the fix for those?
I am looking to replace a defunct Kenmore. The game for any new vac is they are going to need replacements or service eventually. Its now 2018.Do you have an update? Thanks for the upload.

Would you still recommend this vacuum system? Thinking of buying one and trying to decide between this one and a few other brands available at Costco.
