One thing you forgot to mention: If you quit at any point before you rescue Tootie, the transfer of Tootie's cuteness to Gruntilda will be a success resulting in Grunty having a hot body, and Mumbo being smitten with her, while Tootie looks like she got Klungo's DNA mixed with hers, the ultimate "YOU FAILED!" moment.
My initial thought when you gave mumbos mountain a 10/10 was “well if he’s gonna do that he’s gonna have to give Treasure Trove Cove a 10/10 too😂😂😂😂😂 these levels are just to good man. Nice video.
It's great to see such a passionate video from someone who loves this gem as much as I do! I take it you were beyond-excited when Banjo & Kazooie got into Smash?
Man this game is just a blast. It's one of the prettiest games I've ever seen and it's packed with charme up to the brim. The stlye works really nice on the n64 and it's one of my favourite graphics stlyes ever. The soundtrack is just one banger after the other. Grant Kirkhope really outdid himself here. I listen to the soundtrack frequently, it's just so catchy and fun. This game is an absolute masterpiece and a true work of art. I love it a lot. It also gave me some of the most memorable and fun childhood memories
Funfact: the shark is killable with 6 hits of eggs while hes appeared. Easiest way to do this very quickly fire eggs from behind on a box onto his face. Then you can safely swim anywhere in the nearby area. Without worrying about him.
The mummies are totally killable. You just have to use the wonder wing on them. It's amazing how many people have played this game that don't actually know that
What a fantastic video and so comprehensive. The door behind Gobbie was always so mysterious to me and I know there was a few fake secrets regarding it back in the day. Also the cutscene of the spikes coming out to crush you if you failed to escape the maze in time was pretty memorable and freaky.
I always loved the setting and music of Rusty Bucket Bay and the challenge was super refreshing for me and for that reason it's my favorite. Then again, every world in Banjo Kazooie is amazing haha
I think I said this but a bad level in BK would be a good level in any other game haha Bubblegloop and Rusty Bucket aren’t my favorites but they’re still iconic
Loving these long form breakdowns of these old school games. It really brings me back. I miss my N64. One of my favorite consoles. I think my favorite game on there was Goldeneye 007.
Thank you very much! I work hard on all my videos! If you think this is good you should watch my recent stuff! Even the Tooie analysis is a big step forward I think! Thanks so much for watching and I hope you'll join my community! We love Banjo over here!
Even though it didn't work out, the fact that they wanted to take the N64'S RAM retention and turn it into a feature to allow for cross-game content is genuinely amazing. That could only come from the mind of a creative mad genius. Rare was sometimes too ambitious for their own good, but their games were still much better off for it.
One thing that made me irrationally angry as a child was the thought “eggs don’t fix leaky buckets”. The concept that it would be even possible was too out there for me to comprehend; I needed gameFAQs.
For real, I had to ask my friend about the bucket when I played as a kid and was so. Utterly. Annoyed. Cos I had been looking for rocks, pebbles, anything. I felt cheated they called them pebbles.
One small detail that the devs did was scaring us with the shark in treasure trove and then making us go into clanker’s. The moment I saw him I thought he would attack and I was so scared to go inside lol.. then you find out he’s friendly
This game is one of the greatest ive ever played. I turn 31 in a few weeks so i give to me another playtrough as my own birthday present and i try to play it slowly to enjoy the most. It brings me back to my wonderfull childhood😢
Idk if anyone said this, but snacker (the shark) can be killed with wonderwing and blue eggs. Also if you use banjo to punch the snowballs from freezeezy peak you can get extra honey combs.
I think that it is a fantastic game and pretty much one of the best in the Nintendo 64 era. I do often imagine being able to explore new worlds in Banjo-Kazooie even after beating the game. Thanks to rom-hacks, that is now possible, but there are some hacks that stand out from others.
As cool as that'd be, it'd require Microsoft owning nintendo, or Microsoft selling rare. Wouldn't mind nintendo owning rare, but Microsoft owning nintendo wouldn't be cool. However if you ever wanted to know why rare stopped releasing on nintendo and stared making xbox exclusive games, well, there ya go. Unfortunately.

@@jiggylookback Yeah, like i said, you adressing your bias and giving the third level a 7.5 came up the moment I finished typing that initial criticism, so I realize I was a bit hasty.
