I'm professional barber and I had shaved an American beard to create the chin strap style with Feather artist club. I still remember that the most important thing is the balance of the shape between right and left. Because each beard is unique like a fingerprint. So I need to check first the directions his beard grows. I'm just wondering how the sharpness of it compare to other blades.
Gonna preface my comment by saying I am brand new to shavettes and have only been using a DE razor for about 1.5 months so I am still a newbie I bought this shavette from ShaveNation! Received it awhile back (thanks for the free towel!) and then went ahead and gave it a try. Got 6 nicks the first time when I tried doing my face and chin. The second time I tried only my face and a bit of my chin. No nicks! I think the Muhle blade that came with it was a bit draggy despite me already having a rich lather. I swapped to an Astra Superior Platinum blade and noticed a much smoother stroke. Too terrified to try doing ATG or XTG passes on my neck and chin areas but I am loving the feel of it so far. Will continue practicing with it. Also it looks fantastic on the chrome stand I got for it.
May i ask sir , what safety razor would you recommend me to buy for my first one... i have sensitive face skin and when i use Gillette common razors i get irritations on my face... i read that safety razor may be better for me, so want to give it a try... maybe any not expensive recommendations for me?? I guess i need some razor that is not super aggressive maybe but im not confident enough. Thanks in advance! Yeah also maybe any recommendations on blades to buy for it? Also considering sensitive skin
Nice go Geo💈💈 Enjoy that warm weather, hope you're able to charge the Tesla🤣 I hear they don't work so well in the cold... Different take on a shavette, looks good. Thanks man.
Based on my experience with "Enthusiast" shaving, some of the cheaper shavettes on the market have better control than it. The handle of Enthusiast is made of two pieces. It is super thick and has a square design. When you pinch the handle between your fingers, you will feel stuck, as if your fingers have been raped. In addition, the handle is about the same weight as the knife, and the excess weight on the tail will cause pullback. The weight of the entire knife has increased significantly (78g to nearly 80g), while the average shavette on the market is only about 50g to 60g. If a professional user uses Enthusias for a long time, he may get tired easily. The edge of Muhle Enthusiast Pro is very thick + the blade is exposed too much, which makes the cutting angle very steep. When shaving, you have to raise a special angle. The angle may be one of the largest angles in shavette - it is not conducive to the thin and soft DE blade. , will affect skin comfort and stability.

Thanks for sharing. It uses a double edge blade so it's plenty sharp right out of the wrapper to do the type of detailing you do.
Thanks for your response, Geo🙂

I am interested in acquiring my first shavette. What model should I buy?

Works great for me! I'm very happy with it! You just have to remember to charge it...
Why in the world would they charge 265 dollars for simple shavette???
Because they expect to make more money that way
If any razor could live up to the price, this would be it. When you get it in your hand, you know...
@@geofatboy What about the feather shavettes? They don't live up to their price? Lol
@@brandonjohnson1339 Compare them both up close, then get back to me...
@@geofatboy They're both made of the same 316 stainless steel 😂
Hi Geofatboy good morning and I think you maybe have a new look.
It's a new look-for now!
🎉🎉🎉🎉 perfect
Thanks!
