That English fireplace looks more Roman. I love colour but first room is a little over the other top even for me. If I was forced to choose I’d say the club room. Shawn Henderson was a definite no.

More with the over-the-top maximalism. 🙄 That dining room just makes my eyes hurt.

Time for Kit Kemp to try solid beige for a change.

Since none of you know who Kit Kemp is, you won't know that this interior design is her signature style for all of her hotels and her design style superseded the maximalist/wallpaper/pattern/print conglomeration trend by at least 15 years and she supports unknown, known and emerging artists who's artworks are showcased in all of her hotels. It takes a masterful eye to union all these elements to create a harmonious use of space. She didn't just jump on the bandwagon and if you actually listened to what she said, her inspiration was drawn from the aesthetic of the English countryside. Let me guess, 8 years ago, many of you were cooing over rectangular block furniture, round mirrors and blue gray painted walls and West Elm furniture and now you're running yourself ragged to collect brown wood furniture. Know your station, it's where you belong.

IMO this is not a good year for Kips Bay. So much not to like. Kit Kemp's dining room was horrendous! .... a conglomerated mess. On the upside: Amen & Meeks' Living Room the least bad of the bunch.

The first one is clearly the most beautiful, but it's a bad idea to mix all of those different styles in one house, they clash with each other horribly
