    Very good video for step by step instruction on pronation . I have struggled for decades, will work on it. Thanks. Can you do a video on ground strokes, racket take back , proper loading and unloading step by step ?

      Thank you so much! I am glad that I have helped you on your serve.
      I’ll make some videos about the ground strokes as well. First I want to cover 1-2 videos more on the serve. The toss and the shoulders.

    where do you hit the ball if racket is on edge? what part of ball should you be focused on, top, side etc ??

    • @broddfelt
      @broddfelt  3 месяца назад

      It’s a good question. It all depends on what type of serve you want to hit, (slice, topspin or flat)? Flat you want to hit through the ball, back of the ball. It’s best to have a combo with little spin on it for it to be safer. Slice- the side of the ball. Topspin - bottom back of the ball.

    Patrik I started using continental and it feels like my hand is slipping a little bit off the racquet during the serve --- right at the heel of the palm it's shifting. How tight should I hold it?

    • @broddfelt
      @broddfelt  2 месяца назад +1

      Hi, it’s a good question and happens with a lot of people in the beginning.
      1. Grip Pressure: You want to aim for a relaxed grip, where the pressure is about a 4 or 5 out of 10. It should feel secure, but not tense. A grip that’s too tight can reduce fluidity and racket speed during your serve, while a grip that’s too loose could cause slipping, which you’re experiencing.
      2. How far down are you holding with your little finger? Is it over the butcap or just above? Easier to create racket speed and hold looser the further down. However, it’s easier to hold it just 2cm from the butcap ends on the handle, grip will be more firm.
      3. Make surre you have a fresh grip or a newer grip. Old grips are slippery.
      4. You might open up the fingers, and change grip and that’s why. When try the coin trick from my grip video: ruclips.net/video/hvpZjClIp8s/видео.htmlsi=lE_zgZP3iibQW1DI

    great exercises, but I still do not know why I should pronate, I mean the what are the physical forces that would make the ball faster ..
    What about the second serve, does pronation help making it more reliable ?

    • @broddfelt
      @broddfelt  3 месяца назад +1

      Incorporating pronation helps develop a fluid, effective serve that maximizes power, spin, and precision while minimizing the chance of injury. So yes it will also help the second serve, but the racket path will be a little bit different. The racket speed will be faster into contact since leading with racket edge and after contact you slow down the speed and you will hit the ball more upwards.

    Is this count a first serve or a second serve?

    • @broddfelt
      @broddfelt  3 месяца назад +1

      @@louisliu6680 For beginner and intermediate normal serve. For higher level more 1st serve. You will have pronation on slice and topspin as well, but looks a little bit different.

    With continental, pronation becomes a must, try other grips and find the one for you, pronation should not be a must

    • @broddfelt
      @broddfelt  Месяц назад

      You make a great point! Exploring different grips can definitely enhance your game. It’s all about finding what works best for you! However in the long run it is best to have a grip close to the continental, so you can hit up on the ball and get greater margins over the net.
