Where did she even get the idea that "Americans don't want government funded universal child care". I'm pretty sure at least 60 percent of households would make use of this and likely more single mothers. What she meant was a few rich Americans don't want to pay for it because they don't need it.

If our society were as moral & thoughtful as Katie Porter, in short order, all of our society would be healthier, better educated, better fed & happier. For those of you who are not poor, please stop & ask yourself, "How did I develop my beliefs" around NOT putting in place systems to support our very fortunate way of life?

Thank you so much for your hard work that you do for your constituents and for this country! Please vote blue in this upcoming election if you like your civil rights! I also appreciate Representative Porters perspective on how lobbyist have way too much influence in government! Corporation lobbyist have way too much influence and power, in both political parties! I think she should run for California Governor! Newsome will likely be running for President in 2028 and she should run. She would make an awesome leader for California and address the challenges they have because she gets it! She can then have the experience she need to run the federal government. IMHO
