If Ganguly had never captained the Indian team, I don't think IND would be the team they are right now. He brought aggression and pride in the team which was never seen before, give it back hard kind of playing. Steve Waugh, Ricky Ponting and other SENA players have said it before that with Ganguly IND became a mentally strong team. Even without a huge trophy cabinet he had a huge impact in Indian cricket.
