One of the most valuable life lessons I have learned(at the young age of 57😁) is to not make decisions based on other people's thoughts, opinions, beliefs, etc. No one know my personal situation better than I do. I will always listen to others input, advice, etc but, when push comes to shove it's my decision to make and I am the one who has to live with it. With all that said, I am incredibly fortunate to have my "dream bike" and I will not ever sell it. It ain't perfect, I couldn't get the color I wanted🤷🏻♂, but after owning and riding it for over 2 years it still gives me a thrill to throw a leg over it and ride(even if it's around the block). Whatever you decide I am looking forward to more great content from you both. Thanks and keep yourselves safe! 😃👍❤🏍 Randy
Good advice I’m going to use that. Looking at 230sm tomorrow! Worried about keeping up. But it will do fine in 40-55mph zone. Just no top speed runs everywhere 😂
I totally feel ya on Riding to Work when you live so close. My Work is just under 5 Miles away and it takes about 10 Minutes to get there. It almost takes me longer than that just to get the Bike out of Garage, put on my Jacket, Gloves, Helmet, and set up my Camera, etc than it does to get to Work...and then once I arrive at Work I have to undo everything I just did!
I recently purchased one of these and your vids have been a big help. I bought it as a toy to put around town. It's a fun bike! Do you miss it now that it's gone? Do you want a bigger supermoto?
Didn't realize you were in the Tampa area! I am around here, I would totally buy this bike from you but I won't be in a position to do so until next summer. You'll have no problem selling that fast, keep up the good videos
I ride a 2018 triumph street triple RS, awesome power, quick shifter, 765cc with 121hp, rider modes. Have you ridden one? Selling mine and thinking about getting a Kawasaki 300sm.
LOL, I could get to work in 15 mins, but every day I take a 45 min detour just for fun. And I love to ride alone. :D The MT line and the Ninja 400 are pretty good choices. I looked hard at the R7 (as a daily commuter and track bike), but I was kinda annoyed that I get "nothing" for the relatively high price - very basic suspension, no QS, no electronics, etc. the Yamaha GYTR track R7 looks amazing, but basically doubles the bike's price? And the R9 is supposed to come next year?

Hmmm just my opinion but this is one of those bikes you never sell, just keep around cos they're cheaper and useful. There's nothing close to this one the market, you'll miss it. Also it not really meant for miles but city streets. Maybe that's why it's boring.
@@SALTxTHExWOUND ive always been a top end speedster but i need to stop so ive been condidering the grom or 125 just to feel some wind. That 300 klm looks fun to but is sportbike priced. Hard choices
Agreed. The first 6-9 months I was stoked on it, but the more my eyes start to wonder to other bikes the more willing I got to let go of it. I’ll probably miss it though, never fails 😂
I have the 2023 KLX 300 SM and I love it!. But I still miss my 750 Honda nighthawk, for me that was my ultimate. I wish I never sold it. So I know what you mean!
I had a 2001 Honda nighthawk 750 too! Loved that bike, it had a lot of power for a cruiser style bike. Mine starting having a lot of electrical issues and that’s why I ultimately sold it
I absolutely agree, if the DRZ was upgraded to fuel injection I guarantee sales would sky rocket. I just don't think there's much money in it for Suzuki and emissions has slowed things down especially overseas
Get a 2024 or 2025 Honda Africa Twin. Lol I'm debating that or wait and see what the 2025 klr 650 gonna do like twin cylinder upgrade hopefully lol. What I want is for them to put a 750 brute force v twin on the klr and it be the klr 750 v twin haha!!! That be sick!!
for me i ride over driving my truck simply because i like to ride. the benefits of saving on gas is nice as well. ill be honest and admit i only wear a helmet and gloves so its very quick for me to get on or off my bike. i dont think i will ever sell it even when i upgrade. ill probably keep it for my wife or kid when he is ready.
Yeah, still got mine. I own it in addition to a Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 Cafe. That said I'll admit I sold my 2012 Vulcan 900 Classic four years ago and to this day I regret it. Sellers's remorse. Oh, yeah. Thus as much as I might consider selling the KLX300sm just because it doesn't suit me right now, I figure I'll be grateful for it in a few more years (I'm 66) when a heavier bike just won't work.
I have a Zx6r 636 and it SUCKS in the city and around town. I am in the market for the KLX 300 SM for around town and Urban Foolery! It is a shame you are bored with it.
@@SALTxTHExWOUND I'm waiting to see Suzuki's next mid-size parallel twin before making a firm decision. I would love to have a 750 parallel twin from Suzuki based on the spyshot. I would get the Honda new CB750 hornet but they ruined it with the 160 rear.
Definitely going to miss the KLX300SM, it’s been a fun bike but it’s time for something new. What should I get next?! 🤔
