Hello Everyone! Just a couple of minor corrections to note.
#1. @ 3:00 When attempting to train Attack or Defense, you take your Starting Stat (black number on play mat) + Stat Die (if any). So in my example of training Attack or Defense I should have rolled only one die.
#2. @ 6:48 & 9:57 - If a DEF die is in your Active Slot when you begin your turn. That die counts against the amount of DEF dice you can roll that turn. I misspoke and said this would limit your DEX (total amount of dice you can roll on your turn).
    Cheers!

To be pendentic for the sake of the viewer, at 7:29, "CTR" means "counter", not "control". You were explaining it correctly, but calling it the wrong thing.

Ah! Thanks for letting me know bgm!

Great video...One thing though, when you use a training point in ATK or DEF you roll the same no. of dice as your current level is. So if you had 1 ATK you would roll 1 die, 2 DEF 2 dice.

Hey Stefan, you're correct! For those interested this correction takes place starting at 3:00 when I explain using a training point for ATK or DEF.
I read "(Starting Stat + Stat Die)" from the rulebook as it meant you take your total from that stat worth of dice and then add an additional die. I was incorrect.
Thanks for pointing that out Stefan, great feedback! :)

I thought consumable counters just get ticked down and not exhausted during an encounter. I only played once on a friends copy, mine comes tomorrow. I couldn't find in the rulebook that the counter goes to the exhausted.

Hey Mike! Been awhile so I can’t say for sure what happened there. If the reference sheet had an E next to it that could be why it was exhausted. Is this the case?

Yea I felt silly responding a year later. It was during explaining counters. I thought they are only exhausted when empty not when ticked down. Not sure, I"m gonna watch the playthroughs though. Thanks for making great content!!!!

This and the previous video are great, but I am noticing one issue. You say that dice that were rolled in a previous round and placed into the active slot count against your Dex. The rulebook does not state this. Actually it states in reference to whichever skill that die came from being limited. This is stated on p. 9 - "The total Def Dice currently in Active slots will reduce available Def Dice for rolling this turn (e.g. Boomer has a Def stat of 2. She rolls both Def Dice on her turn and gets a 1 and a 2 result. She chooses to place both dice in her Active slots. Later in the round, a Baddie attacks her for 1 Dmg, so she chooses to remove the 1 Def from her Active slot. It’s now her turn again, but because she still has a Def Die in her Active slot, she can only roll 1 Def Die this turn)." Thanks for the great video though!

Hey Bruce, thank you! And you're right! Can you point me to the time stamp I mentioned this?
I believe I misspoke during the video, as my understanding is the same as yours based on the rulebook. Each DEF die in an active slot would reduce the amount of DEF dice I can roll in a future turn based on my DEF stat total.
      Thanks for the heads up!

No problem. The first instance is at 6:48 & a second time is 9:57. Thanks again for great content!

How many sets of the premium health chips would you recommend having?

    • @RollingSolo
      @RollingSolo  4 года назад

Hey! Only one set is needed to replace the standard amount of health chips in TMB. Cheers!

Hey Mythos! Actually they're taking pre-orders on the Chip Theory Game website which will ship in July! If you want in, now would be the time as the site mentions quantities are limited!

Rolling Solo really? Ok I will check that out. Looking at the size of the game and think shipping costs may be quite high to Europe though
Edit. Nearly $70 shipping !!! Might have to give that a miss for the moment.

Yikes that is steep for Europe. Might be worth looking for on the second hand market in awhile.
