Thank you for the continual support of the Storm series. The long setup was necessary for the epic payoffs we have in store. It's about to get majorly EPIC!!! ⚡⚡⚡ I'm sure you'll enjoy the read even more.
Awesome! Looking forward to it! While i got you here, I'm considering doing a best of 2024 video and Akogun would/will be on it, if I get around to doing it. Still one of my favourite reads this year. It really made a big impression on me! Keep up the great work!
Nice selection and insight as always. The Brood looks awesome - who doesn't have 'weapons grade daddy issues'? And yep, Kaya is definitely one of the best comics in the last few years!
I read a few preview pages of Dark Patterns in the back of a recent issue and thought it was okay but was probably gonna skip. Might have to give it a second look
@@blob989 not that any one reviewer should be an authority but I definitely recommend it. If you're a trade reader I bet it the collected read will be phenomenal. This is also going to be split up over 4 parts. 3 issue arcs that build to something, I believe. Or something like that. So if after 3 issues you don't like it, I think it's safe to move on.
I respectfully disagree. While I understand where you're coming from I look at something like the Space Age and Dark Age books and they don't feel overly Russell, to me. Travelling to Mars is very Mark Russell but in a unique way. I think he does have a strong pressense in his writing but he's good at taking readers to differnt places and I value that. But again, I do understand where you're coming from. His voice is quite singular and if it's not for you it could overshadow the rest of a story.
@DCPatrol yeah those are good examples. It's not that I don't enjoy Russell, I loved his Flintstones and snagglepuss as well as One star squadron. But other books like second coming, billionaire island and rumpus room all felt very similar

Thank you for treating the character with the respect she deserves! I look fwd to your time on the book!!

@ Wow! Thank you so much. This means a lot. I will pass your kind words along to Dotun Akande (artist on the project). He would love to hear this too.
@murewaayodele3277 thank you! Yes, he's got a great talent and I look forward to you both teaming up again one day!

I gave up on black lightning after issue 1...its ok but not great. Didn't bother with superwoman as it seemed pointless
Your wisdom knows no bounds! ;)
I want to support Black Lightning. I know it's futile, but I feel like it's the least I can do.
X-factor i dropped after #1. To me when u read 1 mark Russell book you've read them all!
