The car is clearly outdated and austere, with low quality materials and old-style engine which does not give much efficiency. However, if it kept this price in european market, i am sure, no doubts, a lot of europeans would buy it and it would rise among first brands in car market. As it is happening with Chinese MG cars, that are being sold at a much higher price, almost 20k. This success of MG is quite a symptom of EU economic recession

I am from Iran and have owned one recently.
Great car if you want low maintenance and very effective means of transport in the city, but you should know it has no luxury spec. Just the necessary options to be a good tool.
Reliability is very very good as a result of basic design.
If you like cars that do not drain your money it would be a good choice, but if you like your car to be somehow luxurious it should not be on your list.
Safety is moderate and not horrible at all, especially if you use it for what it has been designed to do and that is city transport.
I hope it succeeds in new markets and fills the vacuum that is in the low budget cars. :)

Stay button, SatNav and a few other cool options that I can't recall right now. The engine is 1500. Quite peppy as it is quite light. If you remove the badges, and countries of origin information from the vehicles; you'll find a large segment of the population around the world who would want to buy these low priced vehicles. I wish the USA, where I am from, was like this in a sense have more simple and affordable cars that are reliable. They are more focused on building these complicated machines that have way too much tech and I don't always like that. The simple stuff like this is easier to maintain and the price point is very good. As an American, I do like the Saipa brand and I also do like Khodro cars from Iran as well.
