What size boat was this? I have a 2021 Pro-Drive 40hp on a 2054 and I have to say I’m very much intrigued about it. My biggest concern and fear is burning up my motor and having nothing at all to just go 10mph faster. How has this unit been holding up? Does it take regular pump gas or do I need to buy 91 or higher octane to help avoid any issues? 1 more question do you warranty this system? It’s an excellent product you putting out I would love to have this on my 2054 cause yea that big girl is not breaking any speed records for sure 😂Stay blessed and humble my friend

      So far so good
There’s a manufacture 1 year on the garret turbo and in warranty all other components of the system for one year
If you don’t mind me asking what is your current top speed

@@thirdcoastperfomance1158currently I’m getting around 22mph I think I’m needing a new prop. ProDrive saying I should be able to get around 28-30mph but I never seen that on my boat. Sorry for the late reply I just saw your message.

Can this work with a mikuni?

Man, either the 40hp engine is weak or that turbo kit is hurting performance. My 17’ X series with a 36hp carb engine runs 38mph with just me and some fishing gear, and runs 36 with my and a similar sized friend (250ish lbs) and his 3 kids on it. Mine is tiller steer, so there may be some weight savings, but not much. Both tanks full of fuel.

38mph? What all do you have done

@@ShaunBoyd-tn7cf It’s stock. At least as far as I know, I bought it used. At first it didn’t want to go very fast, but I replaced the worn out prop and that fixed it. You do have to trim it out perfectly, but once you do that, it’s a beast. It blows my 16’ Carolina Skiff with a 40hp outboard away.

Shit mine is built and I'm only touching 35mph. empty!

@@ShaunBoyd-tn7cf What condition is your prop in? Is the clutch slipping any? It’s a surface drive, so you should be throwing one heck of a rooster tail if you are trimmed right. Looking online, my performance is normal for these in good condition.

Brand new prop. 38mph is rare for a prodrive especially stock.
