    This also lends itself to that strange sound of him sustaining that unison note. Sounds like he's using a unique effect pedal when he has that quiet delay in that background. 3:12 sounds strangely similar to a violin!!

    What kind of effect is being used? It sounds like a delay and maybe some kind of compression?

      I believe he often uses the POG 2 pedal along with the delay. (edit: POG not Pod)

      @@yupzoneoops, I meant the pog 2, the pedal by electro-harmonix. There’s a video somewhere where he explains what he uses it for. Interesting sound for sure!

      @@alexenscoe9730 I seriously couldn't tell if it was just his hands or something. There's a similar "violin" fx in some old zoom pedal I have but this sounded really good. I'll definitely check it out! Thx!

      It's an exercise and a concept. It's just taking advantage of a held note to position shift. This is a concept that you can use in service of making music.
