    We've had this version in Canada since introduced in fall '21. We've had ours since Dec '21. It's range is about 400km at highway speeds with the 77kWh battery.

    I am a Ionic 5 owner (EU 77.4 kw connect + 2023 model) It's a fantastic car, comfortable, luxureus enough, high-tech, fast. the only downside is the infotainment system, it's good, but not the best. (Like in Audi or Mercedes) In all other ways it's definitly better then a Tesla model Y. Same goes for KIA ev6 if you ask me.

    There's also Auto Regen which changes to like zero regen if no vehicle in front and flat road, to regen level 3 if vehicle in front eg. in heavy traffic. Also responds to up and down inclines. I always use Auto Regen because there is no need to adjust it.

    I have a 2023 Ioniq 5 and while I appreciate that different countries have different levels of trim I do wish that manufacturers would offer the most popular trim levels for review. Mine does not have the indicators in the front and rear lights, nor does it have a power tail lift, fully electric seats (only the driver’s seat) no ventilated seats, no interior power outlet.
    While I accept that these features are available in higher specs, I feel that the models offered for review are giving people the expectation that their car will have all these wonderful features, for the average driver they will not!
    Don't get me wrong, I love mine, and while I can live without these extras, I would not buy another until they fit a rear wiper.

    • @ItsOnlyElectric

      I get your point and agree! I often try to get lower spec cars (more standard) but the manufacturer often use fully spec cars for better marketing.

    If only Hyundai would make a nice estate/wagon version of this, with a huge boot and storage space... I would throw them my money. Right now, although it's definitely not small, it's not practical enough - for me and my family.

    • @ItsOnlyElectric
      @ItsOnlyElectric  Год назад +1

      It's more practical than a model 3 or a Polestar 2. But not on par with the model y or bmw IX3 for instance. But still a lot more practical than I least I thought.

    • @adrianguggisberg3656
      @adrianguggisberg3656 Год назад

      @@ItsOnlyElectric How is it not on par with Model Y and iX3? I mean, since it's smaller than both these cars on the outside and still has the biggest boot and cabin of the three...

    • @ItsOnlyElectric
      @ItsOnlyElectric  Год назад +1

      Boot space is good in the Ioniq, very practical car. But it's not a SUV. The BMW has a smaller boot capacity than the Ioniq but Model Y has the biggest one.

    • @adrianguggisberg3656
      @adrianguggisberg3656 Год назад

      @@ItsOnlyElectric Actually, the Model Y has 600 litres of boot space according to Tesla. Those are Tesla litres tho, or conversion error from primeval units to metric. Measured to European standard its only 420 litres. The Ioniq 5 has 410 litres under the boot cover with the seats all the way back. You get an extra 100 litres or so if you measure up to the window line as in the Tesla, which has no boot cover. Then you can still slide the rear seats forward. See Björn Nylands Banana Box Test if you don't believe me. He could fit 11 boxes into the Ioniq 5 and only 9 into the Model Y, and that includes one he could fit into the space underneath the boot floor.
      What is an SUV and is it an advantage or disadvantage for a car to be an SUV according to you?

    • @ItsOnlyElectric
      @ItsOnlyElectric  Год назад +1

      It's not the same class but that as such doesn't really matter more than styling (personal preferences).
      Frunk significantly bigger on model y, where the Ioniq AWD has almost none. But Ioniq has a more flexible back seat solution where you can move the position of the back seats. Model y is possible to split in 3 parts whilst Ioniq 40/60. So pros and cons on both.
      But with that said I was happy with the boot volume on my old model 3 (very unpractical with sedan trunk designs though) so both will work. 🙂

    Not a fan of capacitive buttons in a car. Its just as bad as touch screen functions. Its dangerous to take ur eyes of the road just to adjust the cooling or heating. Theres nothing wrong with regular buttons for those functions VW are also very much guilty of using touch crap fake buttons in the cars

    What exactly is your problem with the USB sockets ?
    Data transfer is not an issue, and they are mechanical more stable than the fiddely small C- versions.
    Besides all USB devices will fit the original sockets with the proper cable.
    According the rear seats,,,you didn’t mention the function of sliding the whole seat, and thus making the trunkspace even bigger.
    Btw,,,the optional 20” wheels will dampen the body roll and sharpen the steering,,, it’s a great improvement in driving experience.

    • @ItsOnlyElectric
      @ItsOnlyElectric  Год назад +1

      The world is moving to the new standard. All phones all laptops etc are running USB C and so should all cars to. In 5 years a USB a will be legacy and give you a feeling like the old cigarette 12v socekts. USB C is also superior to USB A in all aspects.

    • @ItsOnlyElectric
      @ItsOnlyElectric  Год назад +1

      I showed the sliding functionality in the video but did not mention it. My bad. Coming in another video though.
      Great news with the 20" wheels.

    • @steffenjensen9350
      @steffenjensen9350 Год назад

      Hmm,,,I don’t see the the sliding function 7:23 - 7:33 only the angle adjustment ;)
      When the whole seat is sliding forward in combination with the vertical adjustment it gives a lot more trunk space.
      It gives a deeper trunk, and compensates a little for the slope of the hatch/rear window.
      Btw,,, with seats folded and in forward position a big space is created behind the seats, for additional storage.
