The reason some people have gotten three things from Iam8bit is because you literally chose the same people all the time. Every show they’ll be a Bob or Leafeon question for sure.
I too am saddened by the lack of reactions to Parrysol. fantastic pun Ben, get in touch with the devs, they'll pay you properly for this kind of input.
@@Gameonysus no no, you're fine, I don't blame you for this grievous sin. I always appreciate your passion and how you articulate your feelings through mini-rants. It's the others who shall wear the mark of shame for this. (Seriously you rock, so glad you're in this Community.)
@@Gameonysus I have never ever been disappointed in you Janet until this moment LMAO. But I did understand that you were still in the middle of your thoughts. 🤗
Ok everyone just totally missing “Parry-sol” was very disappointing. I would not have faulted you Ben for bringing more attention to how fucking clever that was!
Yep, I was laughing about this when I was watching live. I think Jacob Geller was the only person who maybe knew that we are likely talking about a post-Ezio game in Europe, with his talk of the Pope.
I haven't seen the Cyberpunk DLC but I am excited for the DLC. I am close to being done with my fourth play through. I will probably beat it more. My first time through the game was un-patched on my base Xbox One. I now have a Series X so I can't wait to play more.

39:16 I lived through the hubbub that was Pre-release hype of Cyberpunk 2077, and man... the words coming out of just about everyone that had a youtube/twitch channel and played the pre-release demos behind closed doors were pretty propping Cyberpunk 2077 as this Genre Defining Game that will truly put the Roleplaying Game in RPG. It was a wild time to be alive and following everything that was Cyberpunk 2077.
Glad to see a few other Cyberpunk 2077 fans in the comments. I feel it hard to find anything more than cool acceptance from the general populace although the game is absolutely one of my favorites of all time. I know that can be said for any game probably, I just wish the go to reaction wasn’t nonchalance.
I wonder if Kelsey, Ana, and Jacob are going to be included in the end of the year discussions seems like it would be too many people but would be interesting to hear everyone's opinions.
To Ben, as someone who does anime/manga related podcast/content and heavy in that community. There has definitely been excitement for the Cyberpunk anime on Twitter in the communities I am in. It got alot of talk back when they 1st showed it off but with so many anime coming out the discussion faded a little but I know it will ramp back up when it drops next week.
Oooh on Jacob's point about the lyrics kicking in - Narita Boy from last year. Towards the end of the game they add the silliest lyrics to the OST and it is just a phenomenal moment
@@KyleHilliard I don't watch a lot of DC animated movies but this one was good. I also like the Batman Brave and Bold with Scooby Doo movie. Did you watch that one?
On the subject of toilet humour that's actually funny I think the "who does Number Two work for?!" scene from Austin Powers is still legitimately funny.
I love Assassin's Creed Rogue. I think the story is completely bogus, you don't play as a "rogue", you play as a Templar who is much more interesting at the very beginning than when the story gets going --- in Unity you truly play as a free agent up against Templars and Assassins both. Yet in spite of that the world is a beautiful place to be in. If you've played the games on 360 or PS3 then you know Rogue is the absolute best looking one of all of them, it's simply gorgeous on original hardware. I loved exploring the icy New England / Nova Scotia climes, it's wonderfully engaging.
14:23 - You gotta hand it to him, Ben was really quick with that sooo clever pun and it just went by, no one noticed it, Jacob blinked but I think none of the hosts registered it. Hats off to you! 10:30 - What, Kojima has security?! Maybe his games aren't fiction after all, he got some inside information from a goverment contact and now he need protection :D 1:36:28 - and again, no one picked up on Ben's knowledge of the Xbox game Brute Force (2003), I'm disappointed in this panel :D
My pre-conceived notion of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis comes from Something Awful that had an audio edit taking all the voice lines and mixing them into one of the raunchiest, funniest things I've ever heard.
1:37:13 Is O'Dell describing Digimon Survive or Nier Automata? I can't tell. Lordy I felt catfished with Automata, but luckily I played it on game pass.
Assassin’s Creed was my favorite franchise at the time Unity and Rogue came out and Unity was my disappointment. Rogue was more of the wide open Black Flag sandbox gameplay and Unity stripped a lot of the gadgets away.
1:36:58 yeah i also feel like i was cheating when i was doing that, but at least that is part of the intended game solution, according to Lucas Pope himself. i forgot where i watch the interview tho, might be from his own youtube channel.
as someone tht played and beat cyberpunk i thought it was a mid farycry in a cool looking city tht doesnt have much happening tbh. But i enjoyed it as a massive farcry 3 fan.
The later stages of Rome is a weird descriptor because there’s two Roman empires and one of them lasted way longer than the other. If they mean the Byzantine Empire, then that would be pretty cool. If they mean the Hun takedown of Rome, I’m less excited
It's so refreshing to have a games podcast have someone on who can actually talk about Pokemon, people will circlejerk for weeks about how the third release of the last of us has a new guitar on the floor or the rocks are in a different place but then a juggernaut like Pokemon has massive changes and its tehe that Pokemon yearly release aw shucks
Those live footage games are just terrible. I tired a couple and truly some of the worst games I’ve ever played. Also did anyone notice Ben’s parry-sol joke? I’ve only seen 80 comments on it.
If you took a shot every time Janet said “like” you would be dead in 15 mins. Also kinda funny that she took a shot at Texas when half the people where she lives is trying to move here.
Joe Rogan and like three comedians moved to the most blue part of Texas to avoid taxes and it has the whole state thinking everyone's rushing there lmao
@@ChichiNaka that and the 30% property value increase from people fleeing the blue states because they couldn’t leave their house. Literally a shortage on homes here. I caught it
Parrysol is one of the best oneliners Ben has ever used lmao, and he's had many good ones
"Parrysouls" - the Soulslike sequel to Gunbrella
It was delivered perfectly and no one else paused. I was shook that that joke didn't get its due.
Yah that joke was proof of Ben's evolution into a uber comedic entity
Haha I was trying to figure out if it was a reference to Super Princess Peach (Perry the Parasol)

I was too focussed trying to accurately recall these game details!

Justice for "Parry-sol."

Missed joke opportunity at 43:30, built off "Texas gang... but they samurai swords, somehow":
Yeehawkuza.
FYI Holy Roman Empire is middle-ages Germany, not ancient Rome as you are all thining (IE: talking 900AD to like 1800AD, not 00)
"The Holy Roman Empire was in no way holy, nor Roman, nor an empire." - Voltaire (also used in an SNL sketch, which is where I actually know it from)

Love O'Dell's enthusiasm but I think lowering his volume just a bit next time would be appreciated.
I've heard Minnmax mentioned on Kinda Funny content, finally checked it out and find out that JACOB GELLER IS PART OF MINNMAX?!
Gunbrella? Reminds me of the Batman Vs. TMNT movie. Where Michaelangelo witnesses Penguin's Umbrella machine gun.
