Love this show! It's like someone tried to describe Doctor Who to the Kroft brothers, and they just went 'Yeah, yeah, I got it....time travel, weird robots and a dog."
Woe!!! I use to watch this and now I realize that I had forgotten all about it. This show was silly and a lot of fun too! Brings back some of the fond memories of my youth.
1) This is the first time I have scene an episode of The Lost Saucer since the 70s 2) The console of the ship reminds me of the interior of the Tardis on Doctor Who 3) They don't make Saturday morning shows like they used to. I would love to see a resurgence of shows like this.
There weren’t too many of these. Only 16 episodes and they’re pretty hard to find. I wish they’d release it onto DVD! Ruth Buzzi is still going at 88, but her health isn’t great.
look up "Electra woman and Dyna girl"(same time period) Great opening in that show too and I loved opening in this one (wish id been in the kids place heh)
I tottaly agree they always say by one of the border riders on grand ol opry show "Rember when there was only 3 networks to watch and Everything on? Now theres over 250 channels today and Nothing good on to watch"
I 'm glad they had Jim Nabors then Ruth Buzzi, also should've been Jarrod Johnson, then Alice Playten and the Dorse. Are any of the folks still with us today?
I never knew about this somehow. Id I did I would have checked it out. Jim and Ruth make quite an impression so I have no idea how this show eluded me unless I'm in a different dimension now.
I was just beginning to form long term memories when this show was on. I wonder how much of my love of sci-fi and fantasy started with this and other Krofft shows...
Man that laugh track was on every show back in the day. If you listen carefully, you will hear somebody let out a little whine after they laugh. I lost track of how many times I heard that exact same laugh on multiple shows growing up.
I remember this!! Lol!! But now that I think about it, why would two kids leave home not only with strangers but strangers in a saucer? Weird. Well it was the ‘70’s.
I love that you post classic stuff. Please feel free to windowbox them, though, instead of cropping them top/bottom to make them 16x9. Poor Jim is missing his head! All hail original 4x3! :)
Great seeing this show again I used to watch this defintely brings back some of my saturday morning youth times :) I wonder if they ever did make it back to earth I cant rember now
[me at around 7:00] ?wonder if the egg inside the saucer is the offspring of the Chicaphant? if so, ?will the 'phant want its baby back? if so, Part II, ?didn't a similar situation happen in the third _Jurassic Park_ movie? [me at 9:55] "...an Eleficken." okayyy...
The nostalgia is off the chart for this one!! Love the opening theme...but as an adult now, seeing how a teenager is worried about dieting is troublesome and is a testimony to how young girls were conditioned...plus, that hairstyle is strangely phallic...Hmmm...??
At the very least, I am surprised that Shout hadn't picked up the rights to stream all of Sid and Marty's content. That would be the perfect home for it if not on DVD.
And lady actor on TV show that girl and the Muppet show and episode of CBS the magic of David Copperfield TV specials plus she can sing and shes on other TV shows comedy idea concepts
I sat by the TV watching most of their stuff while growing up, but never heard of this. It probably came on after our mom would turn off the TV and tell us to go out and enjoy the afternoon. Now I'm wondering if they ever let Jim Nabors sing, or if Ruth Buzzi ever ran around like a lunatic hitting people with her oversized handbag.
Wow I haven't thought about this in years. We watched it every week. I miss childhood in the 70's.
Love this show!
It's like someone tried to describe Doctor Who to the Kroft brothers, and they just went 'Yeah, yeah, I got it....time travel, weird robots and a dog."
Even as a young child I knew the dorse costume looked lame. Like they just ran out of budget and used what they could scrape together.
My God - totally forgot I watched this show as a kid... Memories sparked...
Sid.marty, you guys made my chilďhood less lonely.thank you kindly.😊 i am 60 now and still enjoy your entertaining showa.
Woe!!! I use to watch this and now I realize that I had forgotten all about it.
This show was silly and a lot of fun too! Brings back some of the fond memories of my youth.
This made me very very aroused. Jim nabors is so cute and sexy in his little robot suit!!!!!
This is my first time seeing this show! It is pretty neat! I like 1970s scifi shows!
Wow. Priceless memories that I had totally blanked out.
Totally true 🙂 We need more silliness in the world today
I totally forgot about this one, ohmygod one of my favorites!! So blessed to grow up during this time! ♥️😢THANK YOU!!!🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️
The fake laugh track makes it even more campy fun.
I remember the Atlantis episode where we got to hear Jim Nabors baritone singing voice.
I love it when they bring back the classics on RUclips.
Love this show....Brings back memories of the old Saturday morning line up....Peace
1) This is the first time I have scene an episode of The Lost Saucer since the 70s
2) The console of the ship reminds me of the interior of the Tardis on Doctor Who
3) They don't make Saturday morning shows like they used to. I would love to see a resurgence of shows like this.
Although I remember watching this when it first came on...I still can't believe I just watched an entire episode of this!
Omg I used to love this.. I was 3 in 1975. I remember this .love the theme song!
this is very astonishing and fascinating too Jim Nabors too i never knew he did a sci fi tv series im interested in watching more of these.
There weren’t too many of these. Only 16 episodes and they’re pretty hard to find. I wish they’d release it onto DVD! Ruth Buzzi is still going at 88, but her health isn’t great.
@@finster1968 oh i knows if only a miracle she does get better but if not she will be greatly missed.
Saturday morning memories. ☺️
Their ship owes a lot to the Jupiter Two!
Wow! Stuff you never knew you forgot, or something like that.....
Man this is better than the current Picard series...
You can say that about just about any TV series before 2000. Even Doctor Shrinker is better.
Ha!
Alot of the shows were better back then (such as Holmes and YoYo) and another show that was funny from this Same series was "Wonderbug"
Better theme song too
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I loved the intros to all these shows!
look up "Electra woman and Dyna girl"(same time period) Great opening in that show too and I loved opening in this one (wish id been in the kids place heh)
I just remembered this out of the blue. Good memories!
Now I know where Kitty from That 70s show got the inspiration for her hairdo.
This seems like a harmless low-budget 1970s kid's show, but it's strange seeing Jim Nabors and Ruth Buzzi starring in it.
It was a paycheck.
Just six years earlier, Nabors was starring in the number 2 show on TV.
Of all Sid and Marty Krofft’s creatures, I still like the Dorse best. 🐴
I loved the Sid and Marty shows. And I did not do drugs, but I wish I had done drugs.
I do miss '70s TV it was a lot better than most things they put out these days
Todd Keller today's TV is garbage
You are not alone. I concur with your assessment.
I tottaly agree they always say by one of the border riders on grand ol opry show "Rember when there was only 3 networks to watch and Everything on? Now theres over 250 channels today and Nothing good on to watch"
I agree; the special effects may have been primitive, but the entertainment was always there.
Omg! I totally forgot about this show. But as soon as the opening credits rolled, it was like it was Saturday morning, 1976 again!
YES!!!!! I have been looking everywhere for this! Thank you so much.
I saw The Lost Saucer when I was a teenager! I wish that space aliens come and fetch me!
Sid and Marty Kraft T.V. Shows were the best👏🎉👏
I love how one alien has a NY accent and the other one has a southern accent !! 🤣
I looked it up on Wikipedia- she's from Rhode Island- which does have some similarities to the New York accent.
The guy one was programed in Sylacauga Alabama and the girl one was coded in Rhode Island.
That's what people say to me in the south lmao
I 'm glad they had Jim Nabors then Ruth Buzzi, also should've been Jarrod Johnson, then Alice Playten and the Dorse. Are any of the folks still with us today?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💙💙💙💙💙❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 RESTIN PEACE JIM NABORS WHAT A TALENTED MAN YOU WERE.😢😢😢😢
I remember this show. I was little when these shows came on and I watched them all.
Jim Nabors AND Ruth Buzzi? Talk about talent!
The Tracy and Hepburn of the 70’s!
The sound FX guy for this show must have been having a blast
Goner Pyle goes to space
I never knew about this somehow. Id I did I would have checked it out. Jim and Ruth make quite an impression so I have no idea how this show eluded me unless I'm in a different dimension now.
I loved this show!!!!!
Í remember this show vaguely. The Dorse and its antics are familiar. It's wild seeing actors in a role other than their most famous.
Good thing there's a laugh track so I can tell when something is funny.
I had forgotten all about this show!
I was just beginning to form long term memories when this show was on. I wonder how much of my love of sci-fi and fantasy started with this and other Krofft shows...
It’s amazing how many shows we used to watch that I totally forgot about until you hear that intro music..
Everything back then was great.. Jim might of been gay, but he never tried to shove it in your face, Classic shows, classic people! "Priceless"
They really learn how to use that laugh track
Man that laugh track was on every show back in the day. If you listen carefully, you will hear somebody let out a little whine after they laugh. I lost track of how many times I heard that exact same laugh on multiple shows growing up.
Awesome!! Great memories.
I remember this!! Lol!! But now that I think about it, why would two kids leave home not only with strangers but strangers in a saucer? Weird. Well it was the ‘70’s.
😎💛love this show
I remember this!
I remember not liking the horse monkey thing.
Its always looking at the ground and hiding it's face.
It creeped me out as a kid
Wow Saturday morning memories land of the lost. The lost saucer ,electric women and dyna girl ,space nuts show more episodes please
All of Sid and Marty Kroftt shows were the best of the best ever made on TV!!
I remember absolutely nothing from that show but the alien dog thing
Sid and Marty had some good weed back then. A chickophant!😂
I love that you post classic stuff. Please feel free to windowbox them, though, instead of cropping them top/bottom to make them 16x9. Poor Jim is missing his head! All hail original 4x3! :)
Love you guys so much !!!!!
Starring Jim Neighbors and Ruth Buzzy!....Oh hell...
Forgot Sigmund the sea monster love that one for sure
9:56 No wonder ms chickenphant attacked the saucer, we've got her baby
Great seeing this show again I used to watch this defintely brings back some of my saturday morning youth times :) I wonder if they ever did make it back to earth I cant rember now
I loved this show when I was young. Now I find it a bit stressfull to watch.
Never imagined a silly TV show would cause me to re-evaluate myself.
I'm rocking out to the song !
"The Lost Saucer" (1975-1976)
😂😅😊❤
Ruth Buzzy and Jim Neihbors gracing their talents in a sci fi childrens show with morals and wonder...didnt get better for us kids than that.
I had forgotten this existed. DAMN.
Could be the most unconvincing animal on a TV show. The dorse is a human running on his knees, lol 😆. Should have used claymation for him too.
Totally forgot about this show. Must have never been syndicated.
I mixed this up with Far Out Space Nuts. Thought I was going to see Gilligan in space.
Had Jim Nabors' and Ruth Buzzi's careers gone that far dowhhill in just a few years? Sheesh.
Oh my God. I totally forgot about this one.
Real aliens look scary AF! and they’re not as friendly.😭
Take a hike Goody blood
I remember this from WAY back!
All's well that ends Well , Ruth is Walking funny :) QC
The nostalgia is off the chart for this one!! Love the opening theme...but as an adult now, seeing how a teenager is worried about dieting is troublesome and is a testimony to how young girls were conditioned...plus, that hairstyle is strangely phallic...Hmmm...??
Hopefully the complete series will be released sometime in the future on DVD.
At the very least, I am surprised that Shout hadn't picked up the rights to stream all of Sid and Marty's content. That would be the perfect home for it if not on DVD.
OMG I forgot this ever existed, like a repressed, fragmented childhood memory. Leave it to RUclips to remind me
Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop dropping acid...
❤️Sid&Marty
I would very much like to know what become of the full sized saucer mock up?
I don't remember this when I was a child but I'm glad I didn't because that creepy dog/horse would of traumatized me!!
Its a wonder this even got past a script ...
Lol
wonderful. please share more
I can only surmise that Sid and Marty Kroft smoked EPIC amounts of pot.
Those 8Track tape days on tv 1975
I want to know what sort of drugs the Krofts were doing in the 70s and 80s
cocaine...
Are we sure this is not part of an acid trip?
everything in the 70s was lol
I guess they wanted to get their money's worth out of the chicaphant puppet and the sets, so they wrote two episodes that took place there.
Was Jim Nabors that hard up for money or was he just bored and wanted to make a kids show?
Nuts and fruits. 😂 Jim neighbors
I forgot all about this show
And lady actor on TV show that girl and the Muppet show and episode of CBS the magic of David Copperfield TV specials plus she can sing and shes on other TV shows comedy idea concepts
They 🛸 put the "kid" in kidnapping...😉
Wall to wall fried chicken!🙃
Horrors Beyond The Realm of Human Comprehension.
I think I remember that TV show when I was a kid 😀 😊 😄 😘 ❤️ 😉 😀 😊 😄 😘 ❤️ 😉 😀 😊 😄 😘 ❤️ 😉 😀 😊 😄 😘 ❤️ 😉 😀 😊 😄 😘 ❤️ 😉 😀 😊 😄 😅
