The movie was incredibly popular at the time. Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, at their golden age, are playing out an extraordinary plot! In addition to the fact that the whole film is permeated with a thread of romantic love, the authors offered us their own version of the vision of what happens to a person's soul when it leaves the body. I'll say this, by the end of the movie, you just start to believe that everything is like that, everything will be like that. Whoopi Goldberg brings her own notes of irony and humor. When the evil and vile, which is often hidden in those whom you consider close friends, triumphs, sending you to another world, it would not be superfluous to stop halfway on the road to paradise to send the one who really deserves it to hell. Despite the presence of a criminal component in the plot and the accompanying showdowns, the film "Ghost" fully deserves to be called kind, in which an interesting plot catches from the very beginning and does not let go until the very end. The film ends well, although a little sad. After all, not every magical component is able to bring a loved one back to life. Thanks for the reaction🧡

Patrick Swayze, Whoopi, and Demi get remembered for their performances in this movie and rightfully so.
People remember Tony Goldwyn playing such a vile villain.
We remember, “GET OFF MY TRAIN!”
But I have always felt that Rick Aviles’s portrayal of Willie Lopez has always been so underrated.
He was a stand up comic and yet he was absolutely believable as a scary thug.
But his facial expressions are phenomenal.
First, the look of surprise when Oda Mae says his name, brilliant. I feel like looking surprised must be hard to convincingly pull off as so few seem to be able to actually do it. And he NAILED it.
On top of that, the look of fear on his face when Sam is after him in the apartment building and then the utter terror on his face when he sees his own body? You can’t get better than that.
He gets lost in the shuffle because this movie is so outstanding with an absolutely stellar cast, but Rick deserves his flowers too. RIP.

We lost Patrick Swayze way too soon. One of his best films is "Ghost". Demi Moore is terrific here too. But, Whoopi Goldberg is so funny, and so terrific, and richly deserving of her supporting actress Oscar! As I left the theater, after seeing "Ghost" with my sister, I said to myself, Whoopi has outdone herself! Get the Oscar ready! I bought the blu-ray of "Ghost" and still watch it every time I can on TV. It's that good!

This movie is bittersweet to me. I lost my husband about a month after this filmed opened in 1990, I was only 30, and he was 34, it killed me. Everyone I knew was telling me I had to see this movie…the hype they were pushing. I went with two friends to see ghost a month after losing my husband…it gutted me, and a few months after that the movie ‘Always’’ was released, killed me as well….

    Michelle & Ellie
Ending of this movie is the most emotional because Molly was able to hear Sam as he is ready to ascend to Heaven after his unfinish business was taken care of.
Like in the movie, Patrick Swayze ascend to Heaven after dying from cancer RIP Patrick! Plus, soundtrack of this classic is topnotch! especially Unchained Melody sung by Righteous Brothers.

What an all time classic! “Ghost” has always been a favourite of mine. Simply an awesome movie but what’s even more awesome is the behind the scenes action of making this movie even happen.
Patrick Swayze originally wasn’t interested in the movie & he failed his first audition. It was only through a lot of begging and pleading from his agent, the director Jerry Zucker & producers that convinced him to come back a second time as they literally couldn’t see anyone else playing the role of Sam & he absolutely nailed the second audition.
Then when it came to casting the role of Oda Mae, Patrick demanded the crew that Whoopi Goldberg must play her as he couldn’t picture anyone else doing. When they hesitated he threatened to walk out of the project unless she was cast.
Finally, Tony Goldwyn (who played Carl) appeared on The View to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the film and reunited with Whoopi; he too said that he originally didn’t get the role as either the director or one of the producers said he looked too much like a nice guy to play a villain but the other overruled him saying he’s perfect for the role as no one will ever suspect him & it would make the reveal that more powerful & impactful.
What more is there to say. No wonder this movie turned out to be such a masterpiece.

A few months before i saw a girl i fell in love with but lost track of and before this movie i had lost 💔 😔 the lady that raised me my great-grandmother. So for me seeing this movie was such an emotional roller-coaster. Especially at the ending. Thank you Homies.

When Patrick get off the train right before he walks to Oda Mae's place and then the other scene's in the same neighborhood later in the movie. I used to live in that area right under the "J " train line at Gates Ave, right where they shot Patrick walking from the train and down the street. We were allowed to stand behind the Police barrier's and watch the filming. It was fun.

The movie doesn't get the love it deserves so as a bribe if you do a reaction to it you will get a subscription from me & it should provoke a lot of comments. Hopefully see you again soon.
Side Note; The song Unchained Melody (the love song) is sung by one of the Righteous Brothers & if you haven't heard of then I would also suggest you listen to one of their other great love song "You've Lost That Loving Feeling". There are a lot of people alive today because of couples falling in love listening to their music.

Another great (cheesy but great) movie with Patrick Swayze is “Red Dawn”. No spoilers but it is an action film.

Wow...I've never heard someone pronounce psycho without silencing the "p" before . So cute.

They should have shot two endings; the alternate would be Carl's bullet hits Molly and she became a ghost and they both entered the light together. (a happier ending)😉

I wish you guys didn't cut the scene where Oda May won't let go of the check after she gives it to the nun- priceless. Maybe someone in editing who knows the movie can help select the best scenes for your reactions?
