    Great concept....I will definitely be keeping that in mind as I set up my current project tank that was a 55 gallon salvaged from the Trash Heap and past the Leak Test.

      @@quransunnah96 no dont do that. E Marco makes one, also aqua forest stone fix. Make sure whatever you use is made for an aquarium and is reef safe.

    What's the best product to hold dry live rock, it starts to come apart every water change ? Does cyanacrylate or accelerators and such that doesn't specify aquarium safe, is there any poisoning ?

  • @sgt.pepper4274
    @sgt.pepper4274 4 года назад

    What was the accelerator you used? I believe I found it on Amazon under Bob Smith Industries, but it looks like it is toxic.

    If it works, it works! I prefer to drill holes into both rocks I'm attaching, fill those holes with glue then use acrylic tubes (like dowels) to provide extra support. At least for larger pieces and esp. ledges. When your gluing plugs to ledges it's real easy to press too hard and have the rock break right off.

  • @newreefer92
    @newreefer92 4 года назад +1

    The glue I have found holds rock the best, reef cement has failed time and time again same with the 2 part putty. Glue is amazing!

  • @LightSearch

    I think your tips are good for coral collectors.
    Master freshwater aquascapers don't use the hardscape merely as support for the plants. We are light years behind most of the serious freshwater fishkeepers in many ways.

  • @dennisvanopstal7360

    1:55 and that is why this isnt aquascaping.
    Aquascaping is creating a piece of nature.
    You are only thinking about placement of corals.
    What they need and how to present them.
    Which is totally fine.
    Its just not aquascaping 😉

    Sad to tell you but super glue degrades underwater. Not the best way to attach rocks together.

    • @eatsleepreef9565
      @eatsleepreef9565  4 года назад +1

      Not sure if you saw the video but super glue IS ONLY USED TO MAKE SURE YOU LIEK THE POSITION OF ROCK. You then come back and secure it with cement or epoxy. On a side not I have seen aquascapes held together for over 5 years with super glue only. Of coarse not crazy ledges but pretty much stacking them.
