Well there are plenty of theories about why cortana changed so much in halo 5 and wether she is really dead but we won’t really know until infinite drops. I personally like the theory that the gavemind somehow corrupted her with the logic plague. I personally hope that she is still alive in infinite so that the resolution to her story doesn’t just happen on screen.
