Here's a tip I haven't seen anyone talk about, Alter pairs pretty well with Path, you can create a portal while using the zip line, if you put a zip on the side of a building you can portal into it from the zip for either fast cover or to surprise a ratting team
another tip: if the enemy is behinde cover like box you can use your q on the opposite side so the enemy will teleport to the other side and cancle his healing and he cant back to the portal so he will be in open i found it whene i was playing gun run and my teammate did this
I literally kidnapped someone with the portal into the lava. They were one hit and they died as soon as they touched the lava. I think I’ll still be a Wattson main but I’m in love with Alter’s kit. Hell maybe I might start maining her instead but we’ll see. And also I got to ask, I see a lot of people choosing intel on tac at level 1 upgrades. It only makes you see the rival players health and shield. You can still see the highlight of them without the upgrade whilst you’re in portal and that’s good enough so isn’t choosing the -30 secs on ult is a better choice so you can keep placing free out of jail ults around with ult accels and constantly have a backup ult portal for your whole team to use and have one another ready to use right after it.
Bonus trick. Have a nade and throw it on your side of the door. Than move thru the portal to the other side of the door. The enemy either runs away or takes made damage
Movement Alter main here, a new movement tech has been found and it allows you to super jump through a portal. To do it you need to make a portal that has the teleport line to go up in the air then you will hold crouch and interact with the portal still holding crouch and right when you hit the top of the portal you press jump and you will fly out of the portal and you could hit a pk within the time you are in the air before you fall back into your portal. You can do this an unlimited amount of times and it’s really easy to preform.
2 actually insane Alter tricks: you can fully loot and shield swap death boxes through walls with your passive (when your close to them and in range of a normal death box interaction), and you can combo your tp with crypto ult to avoid damage and instantly push
@@GrzegorzSobkowicz if youre in range of the death box you can fully loot it like normal, maybe my wording was wrong but i was talking about looting the box while its close to you through walls since you can see it and interact with it even if something is in front of you
Best door strat I have found is to tac the door, faide slide to the tac and then tapstrafe back to the door. That or for roller just tac and fake moving it a lil by moving diagonal and let them open the door towards you
Alters portal breaks literally the game. the portal appears extremely often on a false ground were it shouldn't be. this is just a weird mechanic and should be patched out
and hey merchant love the vids can we play again this season your my favorite apex yt alr got u added but how do you already have so many kills with alter like🤯
Idk why everyone is so hyped and think this character is good. She just makes holes and is not like she is the only one who can use them. So it os very stupid when ppl say she is great for breaching or escaping, i can see her have some play in a group environment but as a solo legend her abilities are kinda trash, worst old rev ult and breaching that will get you killed more than half the time

I threw a caustic ultimate through an alter tac before so there is probably other abilities that can do the same pretty interesting

Not really…wraith can still solo phase for 3-5 seconds to run away and gets a 20% movement boost and she has her passive voice for getting aimed at

A good Alter tip is also instead of just portaling towards the enemy try to portal as far as you can and get behind cover

You can place a portal above you up high amd still enter it op imo
when you pahse you are at a walk sped to you can insta slide but i find fatigue wallbouncing is the best
