Mark trying the Japanese dishes I grew up eating

Friends! Here are some Japanese dishes I grew up eating, made by my novice self.
These dishes are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Japanese cuisine! I have so much more to explore, but at least this is a start.
I could also call this a compilation of my favourite foods….

I just buy a Japanese rice (Nishiki, Botan…) and through it in the rice cooker. I usually put one extra cup of water than cups of rice. So for 3 cups of rice I use 4 cups water. 😊
