Thanks for this video. I'm from North Texas near Dallas and have been a fan of Texas A&M for a long time even though I didn't go to school there. I love their values, traditions and patriotism that they have. I love watching the band's halftime shows. There are a number of RUclips channels that show them. Did you notice how the instructor out there stood at attention before Miss Reveille came by? That's because she outranks everyone on campus! For those who may not be aware, the seniors are the only ones that wear the riding pants and the tall boots. The others are all underclassmen. Those boots cost over a thousand dollars, and it's a big deal when they finally get their Senior boots!

Thank you for showing the band playing. Brought back so many memories for me. I played the trumpet for 15 years. Last year saw something similar. Godson graduated basic, then Airborne training training. I saw the parade of the squadrons.

I love your channel. I enjoy your wisdom and the adventures you go on, and include us. I had a Sheltie, Nicole (Nikki) and she was the sweetest and best obedient dog I ever had. I never had to train her, she was a natural well behaved fun loving dog. I miss her 😢❤Sheila T
Reveille is a Shetland Sheep Dog not a collie. Tradition is one of the factors that makes people want to be part of A&M. A lot of traditions it is very moving.

Yes, Texas A&M has the largest enrollment of students going on to serve in the military than any other college military program except for the US military academies. It once was an all male college, and membership in the Corp of Cadets was mandatory. That changed a number of years ago, and women now attend the university and are part of the corp also. Some go on to commissions as officers in the US armed services following graduation, but that is voluntary. Some members are just part of the corp as part of their life at university and do not go on to serve in the military.

Only seniors wear the boots.
The cadets with boots are seniors. Senior Boots are another tradition. They are quite expensive.
My brother drove down for Muster, and his 50th year since graduation there.
