Eden Golan is a person like any other. I find it shameful and very shameful that she receives so much hate. She doesn't do anything to anyone, she just wants to perform at a music festival. Perhaps it has more to do with Israel's first time entering Eurovision and making it to the final. Followers of Eurovision are very passionate and many European countries have tried many times to make the final and failed. So for Israel to make it to final their very first time likely raised some eyebrows among the die hard fans. I think perhaps they are suspicious of the legitimacy of the vote once Israel became involved. I don't know I'm only trying to understand. There were other very strong performances.
Erin, what do you mean by “first time”? Israel has been competing in Eurovision for the last 51 years, has one at four times, and has hosted it three times, most recently on 2019 after Netta’s song “Toy” won.
If it was only up to the people, she would get the 2nd place, not the 5th. Jurys are biased, turning the Eurovision song contest from a song competition into a freak show.
