One of the reasons I stopped coaching. Always some parent thinking they can do better. If you can, coach, if not support your child not the other way around. It is such a shame that adults cant control themselves

I been coaching a long time. Things like this happen 1st when your coach is too aggressive, 2nd when there no rules or punishments for coaches and parents. Them kids will never forget the fight and never remember the game.
As a HC, I am 100% responsible for everything that happens on the field, in the locker room (metaphorical) and in the stands. Therefore, I insist on 100% control of those areas. I have my parents sign a contract. I explain that most refs will give 1 sideline warning before he starts walking off yards for coach/parent behavior. If any spectator on my team gets a sideline warning, I will ask them to leave. 2 of my coaches got into a near fight last season after a game. I fired them both and banned one from all games and practices for the rest of the year because he put his hands on the other coach. This off-season, the banned former coach was acting up on emails, so I invited the family not to return despite his son being one of my best players. Things have changed.
