Thank you SO much for doing this walk through. I've been on the fence about getting this deck for a while since I don't have any other vampire decks and I really only wanted one that I would bond with. I got as far as the magician on this walk through and ordered it. It's beautiful. ❤
Too modern for me. Always glad to have a look at new decks, but I think it's probably time to acknowledge that I'm an art snob and discerning of the difference between fine/classic style art and graphic/commercial art illustration. I understand the preference for more practical illustrative type art, but I think I'm always seeking the mystique of artwork in a museum or an ancient attic chest, as opposed to pages in a graphic novel dependent on a sequential story. It's kind of like the difference between books of classic literature, and magazines on the rack in a corner store. The difference between appreciating Bram Stoker and a tv teen vampire serial. I guess both serve their purpose and the more choices the merrier, but I'll keep looking for the rarities with deeper/richer intrigue.
Beautiful artwork! Unfortunately the symbols seem to be overly influenced (including the backs) to the Tarot of Vampyres - my favorite deck of all time. So, when it came in and I saw how much it was like the TOV, I sent it back.

Thanks for this walkthrough Simon, I was really looking forward to this deck, but as someone else commented the picture on the front of the box I thought it would be more victorian vampires. Ian Daniels vampyres deck is my favourite so I think this deck is a miss for me. The artwork is beautiful though just a bit to modern for me, I like my vampires to be more gothic. Love & blessings 💓🙏

Oh, Simon, I am rather conflicted by this deck! It is beautifully produced, the guidebook looks excellent, and the artwork is undeniably stunning. There are a lot of very creative concepts with the card depictions. I am always a little put off by modern scenes in decks. It is admittedly my own silly hang-up; we live in a modern world, but I think I just like to escape to other worlds or times past when I work with a deck. Also, I think those of us who are die-hards for Ian Daniel’s Tarot of Vampyres will feel like we are cheating using this one! 🤪 I can see this one growing on me, though… I am going to come back again and watch in a few days. Thank you, as always, for sharing! ❤

I did think this would be one that I would want but no, I am glad I didn’t pre order it - some money saved 😊 however, you are right, I did like the Cups suit because of the Vesica Pisces, I also love the backs too 😍❤️
