my thought is..........when people say that you determine ones salvation by their fruit, this is bogus......how can you determine ones salvation by ones lifestyle because a new creation has no past to measure ones change by.....
what confuses me is there are things I've given up submited to god over fully an example is my alcoholism i was one for 12 years and thanks be to god its gone. but my video games are how i find enjoyment and relaxation tv never did it for me the same way and sometimes i get anxiety and feel rebellious and at other times i feel fine its very strange. i play less but i still play. so i cant figure out if its that he doesn't mind sometimes but dislikes it others or if its just me.

Do you people think your going to stand before a holy God and say to him " hey Jesus you should let me into heaven I lived a holy life I stopped drinking and fornicating I'm a good person let me in" do you think God is going to let you into heaven in your filthy rags not a chance. The way you live has nothing to do with you going to heaven I don't have to give up the sins I love and stop twisting the bible to make it say What you want it to.

If at any point in their life they accepted the payment Jesus Christ made for them on the cross they will be in heaven regardless of what they do after that.

i only disagree somewhat when he says that God will use having a car problem and money problems as a tool for chastening........why...cause we have car problems cause we live in a world where things just wear out and break.......as for money we should be lead by the holy spirit in our giving and not what most preachers teach in tithing which is a law and not a NT teaching.....
Pastor wasn't implying every car problem or money problem is God's chastening. He was just mentioning those as examples of ways that God can chasten. 3:36 Yes, you are right that "EVEN" is not in the Greek and it being there in the KJV changes the meaning completely. That is why you should not have your congregation reading the KJV. There are far worse examples of the KJV either leaving out what is in the Greek or completely swapping out the word with an unrelated word and changing the meaning or losing critical information which causes formation of false doctrine like what I've heard from teachers who teach from the KJV without alerting their congregation to the mutilations of the KJV to the Testimony of God in the Greek. I'm not saying which you are yet, as I have only begun examining your teachings.
