    Just a quick correction. On the white board I wrote 5HT by mistake. It should have read 5HTP. I also failed to mention that testing of melatonin supplements showed discrepancy in the stated dosage vs the actual dosage in a lot of companies.

    I have been binge watching your videos so I could take notes - you make everything simple to understand while encouraging us to do more research. You have helped me understand my blood tests and how to balance my supplements. You ALWAYS surprise me when I assume I know something and Melatonin is a prime example - I didn’t think anything of it- it was a spray and I didn’t look at the mg. contents of the spray which was 4.5 mg for 3 sprays. which would always relax me but it was like a drug and I never liked my dreams. I never had a hard time going to sleep but I thought melatonin was like a vitamin for your brain when you slept. So thank you so much! !!!

    i have been taking melatonin for 25 years. i started on 3mg for 5 years and now increased the dose to 20-30 mg. I never have bad dreams, I have a good deep sleep phase, 7 hours of sleep are sufficient and in the morning I wake up and am ready for the day. at the age of 66, apart from a few supplements and melatonin, i don't take any medication. i am very satisfied with my aging process, look younger and have no illnesses whatsoever. The latter is mainly due to my natural diet. i have never taken melatonin because of sleep, but as an anti - agiing aid. you have to take the melatonin max. 1h before you switch of the ligth. make sure your bedroom is really dark - no lights from watches, aircons, smartphones etc. the older we get, the less melatonin the pineal gland produces. children have the highest production. But from the age of 40, the output of the pineal nozzle decreases and the aging process begins rapidly

    • @ThuLe-eh1xe
      @ThuLe-eh1xe 2 года назад +1

      @@jtkraken23 yes, it is why we should take calcium separate from magnesium. But all the companies always sell calcium pills with magnesium together!!!
      Besides, we should not take vit D3 after noon or in the evenings because vit D3 will prevent us from sleep at night.
      And most calcium pills have D3 in it. And health teachers say that taking calcium citrate before bed help sleep! Well, if the bottle does not have D3 in it!
      And then, the companies add strontium to the pills. If we take strontium more than 2 years, it will break the bone, just like what Fossamax does. At first, they strengthen the bones. But after 2 years, they break jawbones, small bones.
      Nettle tea, bok choy, sesame seeds, collaed green ( no oxalic acid like kale) have plenty of calcium. If we eat 8 prunes a day ( boron) our bone will be strong.
      Parsley has much more nutrition than kale and has no oxalic acid like kake and spinach do.

      I suggest drinking camomile tea 3 times a day, using cbd oil 3 times a day (maybe 3 o 4 drops, depends on the concentration, last daily dose 1 or 2 more drops), 2 hours before sleep magnesium, 2 hours before sleep no screens source lights, phones, etc, because this mess the production of melatonine, SLEEP HYGIENE, meaning doing a ritual before going to be, if you don't see the results right away, stick to it till the rest of your life, habits are the strongest mind improvements ever, pray to good or some higher intelligence, just mentally pass the issue to them stating that you did your thing like the best, and now it is their time to take on this AND believe strongly that god/higher intelligence will take care of that, listen binaural sleep music (you need headphones) one hours before sleep., exercise 1 hour during the day, either cardio, walking, jogging, swimming, just go for it. Wake up and the same time and get exposed to sunlight, do not look straight to the sun, just get exposed at early hours. Don't drink anymore any caffeine/stimulant drink, maybe some decaff in the morning, after that no stimulants drinks at all, no alcohol many hours (5 or 6) before sleep.
      The journey will be full of learning situations but stick to it with love and you will close this chapter.

      Doubleplus, the devil is in the dosage. It is generally more potent for fair skinned people of northern european descent. Some people find that they need to resort to microdosages to avoid nightmares and hangover. There are liquid forms available that might help you dial in the proper dose.
      Other options for short term use include valerian root and catnip; as tea right before bed. Efficacy is highly variable from person to person here too. Do not take these ongoing. They can be used short term, but not ongoing.

      Is the lack of sleeping related to emotions?, i.e: anxiety, depression, nerves...., because if he hasn't told the whole thing to the doctor maybe they are not focusing on helping the emotional part too, what happens is that if you are facing emotional issues, which btw they are normal and temporary for everyone, this can cause you let's say anxiety, in fact the lack of sleeping can cause you that too, because you are living in fear for the future of your sleep......... maybe taking CBD oil everyday will slow him down and with the help of others supplements slowly but shortly he will be back normal sleeping, AND I always stress this: "sleep hygiene", doesn't matter what happened stick to sleep hygiene, it might not work in couple of days, but you will be on track stronger.

      The general recommendation is to take it 20 minutes before bedtime. The primary effect is in inducement of a deeper sleep earlier on in the process. Some people prefer a slow release version which has longer effect.

      @@petsnaturetv1690 If you have a bathtub, try a hot bath in epsom salts before bedtime. Epsom salts are high in magnesium. Try to stop eating at least 3 hours before bedtime. If you are not getting daily moderate exercise, consider doing so. A walk after dinner can help encourage the shift into the parasympathetic mode.
      Sleep hygiene is important. Try to avoid exposure to screens, wifi, and blue light after dinner. Your bedroom should be pitch black and as free of emf as you can manage.
      If you have a pill cutter, you could try cutting that pill into quarters, and start with 1/4 20 minutes before going to bed. If that doesn't work, try 1/2 pill the next night. But, waking up after 2 hours wired and tired, honestly, in your shoes, I would try valerian root or catnip tea instead.
