Publicly, they put on their charming, toothy visage, while treating the people they deal directly with as their footmats. I experienced two such cases in my professional life (and two in my personal life) : such putrid individuals blame you for their own errors, and deny that that they ever gave you the order to carry out an order when things go wrong : as one such excremental waste of space put it “A boss can never be to blame”. It's a misdemeanour charge worth $1,000. But she may be a public official elected to office, which means they can't charger her. You have to remember the ports of New York City are run by the governments of the state of New York state, and the state of New Jersey combined through a public organization known as the Port Authority. Thus meaning she is a public official that has been elected, and the only way she could be charged as if she was impeached by the New Jersey legislator, or the New Jersey Board of the New York City Port Authority, meaning she would have to be removed from office before she got charged for the misdemeanour.

@@bornesulinowo391 Normal citizens is called obstructing justice in the US. And the type of obstruction is a misdemeanor, whoever some types of obstruction of justice as can be seen as felonies particularly if it involves obstructing a court case ( misdemeanors are lesser crimes, and felonies are higher crimes ). But in both cases since this involves an elected official the official has to be impeached, because the US Constitution prevents elected officials from being arrested while they are serving, So you would need an elected board to impeach the president of the port authority, or you would need the New Jersey legislator to do so, or the federal Congress to do so. Then these issues would be brought to the justice system to rather the penalty for the misdemeanor be served as time, but to be honest with you even with dealing with Karen it isn't worth the time, or the tax dollars to do all this mess to only to impeach Karen and have her get a misdemeanor that she will only serve time for 1 day over. That's a waste of tax dollars.

Absolutely no responsibility even in her public "apology". Still thinks it was the OFFICERS who created an unsafe situation being on the side of the road, when she was the one staying there arguing for 20 minutes, and says "at no point" did she try to use her authority to gain control over the situation, and finally instructed the police organizations to train their officers on de-escalation to "avoid" these kinds of situations. Um, these police officers exemplified de-escalation and this woman is extremely off base in her thinking and apparently is surrounded by no one who will tell her the truth. Shameful and gross!!

Just look at this comment she later issued: “As a long-time Tenafly resident, I have always taken an active role in the community, including working with law enforcement officials, and I encourage the Tenafly Police Department to review best practices with respect to tone and de-escalation, so that incidents like this do not recur,” said Turner.” If this woman ever gets elected to anything ever again it’ll be a sign the voters are brain-dead.

Don't feel the least bit sorry for the daughter or her friends. Her daughter called 'Mommy' because she's used to Mom being a BULLY and rude in order to get her way. Yeah, they needed a ride. But she knows her Mother and she knew her Mother would come in demanding the officers get rid of the ticket and release the car; the Mother did say SHE WOULD take responsibility. Probably told her friends "Okay, just wait till my Mom gets here, she'll get these officers straight." This woman has been doing this her entire career; it's just this time it was caught on camera. What a nasty, vicious, entitled, privileged, disgusting woman. And again, her kids are just an extension of her.

Love the officer for thwarting her plan. She is asking because once she hears the reason, she will start arguing with the reason and the officer stopped her BS before it even started and she just cannot stand the fact that she will not be able to take advantage of her position, or the Yale, MIT name dropping or her sense of entitlement. The only thing the officer did wrong was not arresting her, she was clearly belligerent, physically close and insulting. I would have arrested her. If a judge disagrees, oh well. That would (maybe) teach her a lesson about abusing one’s office. And would you be surprised if her kid turns out to be an entitled brat. She did not even ask her what had happened, went straight to the officer for the sole purpose of getting preferential treatment. And the constant “you cannot put a sentence together” line to two seemingly articulate young guys just doing their jobs. The contempt spewing from her mouth just because she did not get her way. And then they wonder why this society is so fed up with the elite.
