Make sure to take a video of you putting the phone inside and sealing it showing the shipping details. Many are complaining that when the trade in kit arrived at the 3rd party apple warehouse, no device was inside the box. Happened to me as well, lucky that i filmed this video to show proof to them that the device is inside the trade in box and got my trade in credits.

Hey there, there is a pull tab inside of the box. lift that then place the phone in the middle so that you could squish the phone in between the cardboard box so that it wouldn't move inside.
I asked support about that, and they said that after you received your new device. If for any reason your trade in kit gets delayed, you should contact customer support to inform the situation.

I think you can, just tell the staff at the apple store what you are planning to do and they would put the $150 instore credit so that you could just add the $500.

yes correct, you need to pay in full first. Then after they assess your phone then they will credit the refund to your credit card that you used to purchase
if you selected trade in online when you purchased your device, you can't. But when you did not choose online trade in online, then after receiving your new device you can just go to your apple store within 14 days and you can claim the trade in credits there

My kit looks different from last year, perhaps depending on their supplier i guess. in regards to the shipping label, apple partnered with a third party that will check your phone and put a value on your trade in device.

it's usually 7-10 business days since you shipped your trade in device, but thinking it's thanksgiving today so probably you need to wait a little bit more.

I have this program where its a free and paid version called MaxRewards and it says to use the Apple card for Apple purchases and the Apple Pay the Apple card along with my Citi Double Cash at 2% and Amex Blue Business Plus and Apple Blue Business Cash that give me on each a $50,000 cap at 2x or 2% before dropping to 1x or 1% after $50k, but which all 4 cards give me at least 2% back on purchases. I would use the Amex cards if I need stuff like extended warranty for like a big ticket item like of course, an IPhone, so I have choices, but for regular day to day, I can use any. Its good to have choices.
For UK banking customers make sure you DEAUTHORISE your phone from your banking app BEFORE wiping the phone. You will not be able to have your banking app on your new phone if you don’t follow that step. Thanks for the vid 🙌
When you trade in it usually arrives with your new phone so you can have both phones on at the same times so you can transfer it properly and make sure the banking apps work on your new phone
i'm not sure why yours slides around inside the box, the idea is that the box in the middle is squishing the phone when closing the box to avoid sliding around
But it's more convenient rather than selling your phone in the open market and going thru the negotiation, meetup/shipping process and possible problems after selling your phone.

Bring it to wherever the return postage says it would ship it. For me it was Fedex, so i went to a local fedex store to drop it.
