    Hi Doc, firstly thanks for the great video! You are an inspiration... Hoping to follow in your footsteps. One question, I have joined up to plabable for the 5 months...I am aiming to do 50 questions per day, how should I approach this? I mean they are are all organized in categories... do you start with one category and work your way through? Or do you do eg 10 from each and move on? Your advice would be appreciated... I know you are busy so I don't expect a reply, however, I believe in miracles.... :)

    • @DrSafia
      @DrSafia  4 года назад +4

      Thank you for the kind words and appreciation! That is a good question. I would suggest you to go category-wise because you have enough time. That is more systematic. However, when you are short of time, say 1-2 months, you should try to get practice from each category, no category should be left untouched. Good luck!

    Hello Dr. Safia! I found your video quiet thorough and helpful. I began PLABable a week ago and I haven't been on a good pace frankly since I am working 8 to 2 in the morning. I have my OET in June but I wanted to start before hand since this COVID situation has left my exam dates uncertain. My question is regarding the resource and NICE guidelines at the end of explanations. How thorough do I have to be since I have been away from studies for a year and I need to refresh my knowledge a bit. For eg: Studying Gliomas, there are like bijillion categories and types, do I need to cram all that or just like the superficial concept and categories and the management? P.S, Apologies for the long comment!

    • @DrSafia
      @DrSafia  4 года назад +2

      Glad you found my video helpful. Since you haven't even given your OET yet, you're starting your preparation well in advance. So I would recommend you to go through the NICE guidelines since you have time until you book your plab. But you don't need to cram a lot. Just the overview and concepts are enough, and lots of MCQ practice.

    Thanks for the advice! I'm writing PLAB this March. Would you say the actual exam was tougher than Plabable in terms of difficulty or was it similar? Also, among the 180 questions, how many new/different concepts did you encounter in the actual exam vs the concepts covered in Plabable?

    • @DrSafia
      @DrSafia  4 года назад +2

      In my opinion, the exam was almost on a similar level to plabable questions but mostly people still find it to be tougher because there are no repeated questions and time management becomes difficult with new questions. The key concepts were the same.
