I've just realized the only times we see Pennywise in his gigantic form is when all the kids see him and are afraid at the same time. So he can only get huge when he has the fear or multiple people to feed from/fuel himself.

The novel in my opinion was more scary than the 2017 film yet I love how it captured the tone and essence of King's work however. The Projector scene for me was one of the scariest scenes and I loved how it was close in tone to "The Album" chapter of the book. Of course the opening scene where Georgie encounters Pennywise never fails to send a chill down the spine and it was amazing how the movie got the ominous atmosphere and building dread of that scene right.

The only scene that jumpscared me in 2017, was when Pennywise jumped out of the projector. I knew he would at some point, but i didnt expect him to be that huge and so sudden.

For me IT wasn't really that scary. It was however creepy, disturbing and had a very interesting plot and development for the characters. It was really just a good story rather than good horror.

I honestly knew that the georgie scene was gonna be number one. It's just to iconic.
Watching this in vr is something new
They could not have gotten a cuter kid to play Georgie either; and what was worse was that the only name he called out for wasn't for his parents, but for his brother, showing us in a tragic way how close the two really were and really sets up Bill's motivation. Masterfully done.

Yeah I found Georgie’s death more sad then scary because of how he called out for bill in his final moments the one person he depended on looked up to counted on loved the most and even how happy the beginning was how we see how much Georgie loves his brother he was just playing with a paper boat and got his arm bitten off and that’s why I love that scene so much it makes us feel bad for Georgie and bill

One of the trailers and several TV spots gave away that jumpscare. It didn't get me. Wasn't expecting the radio noise though. Was expecting that cliche jumpscare sound effect they use now. But even the radio noise didn't do anything. But foreground jumpscares of someone running across the screen are so overused now in horror movies and for the past 10-15 years. So I probably would've seen it coming anyway. And just the way the camera angle was and that it kept sitting there was a hint that a foreground jumpscare was going to happen. Foreground jumpscares can still get me but they have to be REALLY random and in scenes that show no signs or hints of horror or that it's supposed to be a scary scene. Plus they can't just sit there. The camera needs to keep moving or changing angles or something (not talking shaky cam either when I say keep the camera moving) in order to get me with a jumpscare of someone running across the screen in the foreground.

I caught the librarian watching Ben the first time I saw the movie, which was in theaters and on the Thursday night before its official opening day. I was actually looking around the theater/auditorium too to see if anyone else was noticing it. Didn't seem like anyone was reacting to it or anything. Plus I didn't see/read anyone talking about it on discussion boards either. Not for the movie's first week playing in theaters. Everyone just keeps going on and on and wouldn't shut up about the dang projector scene. That's all everyone goes on about. I like stuff like the librarian in the background.

I watched this movie for the first time about a month ago. I absolutely loved it. Very scary but so good. This movie actually kinda reminds me of The Goonies in a way. It’s like the horror version of that movie. Cast did a great job and Bill Skarsgard did an amazing job playing Pennywise. My top scariest scenes in the movie: 1. Georgie’s death. Still have a hard time watching that even after seeing the movie. 2. Henry killing his father. That part creeped me out. 3. The painting lady eating Stanley’s face. This movie is one of my all time favourite movies now. One of the best horror movies I’ve ever seen and one of the best movies I’ve ever seen in general.
