- Eric Bogle goes to the Authuile cemetary in France where he sees that fans of his song: "No Man's Land/The green fields of France" have laid Remembrance crosses and red poppies mainly against the grave of W McBride.
On reflection he says he feels privileged, humbled, guilty and angry about it but doesn't quite know why.
There are 450 bodies buried at the cemetary but only 435 casualities have been identified.
Field Ambulances and fighting units used the cemetary as well as Indian Labour Companies.
Thank you, Eric, for this and so many great songs. I believe songs like this encourage healing.
