Wow Teal is such an amazing loving and patient personality! I would be very much annoyed if I was interrupted and talked over so many times. It was hard to watch because of that. Why inviting a famous spiritual guru for the interview if you talk over them and try to show off your knowledge instead of listening to much more knowledgeable and influential being. At times it felt like a monologue to be honest. But overall very interesting topics covered here and the questions were on spot. I found a lot of useful things for myself during this interview. I saw a film Barkaka in 2003 that had images of chicken factories, torture chambers. I went vegetarian shortly thereafter, and phased in plant based, plus fungus since 2007. Off on, off on for a decade with dairy and eggs and I eventually got to the point I don't like them or want them anymore. Yes, I think if everyone knew with their visual sense at least, what really goes on with how their meat is produced, plus how high the Hell meter is for anyone who works in that industry; that's why they don't allow filming and that's exactly why hardly anyone knows. 9th house Gemini Moon; I seek out with unquenchable curiosity things I didn't know previously. Not everyone has that tendency.

Sugar, my biggest challenge. It's only been in the last year that I stopped putting some kind of sugar in my morning oats. Now it's only nuts, fruits, seeds and ginger root. Keep with it! It gets better the closer I get to natural human nutrition. Strong, bright, and healthy like I never was as a young man, or even a child in my late 40's is at least a bright anecdote for the vegan idea. The main thing is to get free of the junk food.

@@jedixneuf seems true. however the time of being veg was the most miserable in my life, there were a lot a factores that played into the situation. also i'm very careful with what is portrayed as healthy in the mainstream media as it cannot be trusted and i advocate for trying and making my own experiences. i was constantly thinking about food and always hungry, my stomach doesn't go well with high carbs so this was very uncomfortable at times. In my opinion, ancestry is also a big part. people whos ancestors already lived in northern regions for generations have probably a different energy regarding meat as someone in a warmer region.

Hey the 'vanity' and 'superficial' crap society likes to suppose is so 'wrong' or 'bad' is also a problem for guys too.
In my family, when we expressed that we wanted to look better/healthier/lose weight/get in shape? We were told guys aren't supposed to care about how they look. So we felt that we were doing something 'wrong' by caring - at least I did.
It's taken time for me to deprogram from that and shake off the idea that it's somehow 'shameful' or 'bad'. Ugh. It's just SO annoying on so many levels.

I understand the nice feminine feelings most of us get when we get to play with makeup and color, however I think that surgery indicates that we are still not in alignment and being satisfied with the beautiful being that we are and we use knives to change it. Which would prolong our journey to enlightenment. What is your thought on this? You missed the real argument.
A lot of plants require animals to come along and eat them, or store them for eating later, to spread their seed. its a symbiotic relationship. fallen fruit is the purest food. other plants can be harvested without killing the plant, or at the end of it's natural life. A carrot for example, can have its root harvested in it's first year, and the tops can be grown on to produce carrot flowers and seeds. it gets to complete it's natural life cycle. It's just that industrial growing doesn't follow that pattern at all & doesn't allow us our natural relationship with the land, instead fatally severs us from our place in symbiosis with the eco system. Naturally gathering from the free producing land would be within the true harmony resonant with Earth. There's no ideal living possible so long as industrial systems control food production and distribution, they impose too entirely, replacing both nurturing and nature with the imposters of convenience and excess profit.
We should aim for the true ideal, because it is a way the Earth has been, and we have been within it, before. It is possible, and we are capable of it. With all we have learned about organising and "moving mountains" so to speak, we have everything we need to reverse what we've done and replenish what we depleted.

      @Sunflower Boo
The DRI (Dietary Reference Intake) of protein is 0.36g of protein/lb (0.8g/kg) of body weight (approx. 56g/day for the average sedentary man; approx. 46g/day for the average sedentary woman). I am about 105 lbs, so I would aim for about 38g/day.
100g of broccoli is about 2c. You can get far more protein in smaller servings from foods such as hemp seeds, black beans, lentils, quinoa, nutritional yeast, chick peas, peanut butter, almonds, etc. Combine those ingredients in a salad, and you hit that mark easily. Many plant-based foods can be combined to form complete proteins if they are not already themselves.
I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 4 years old (before the diet was more widely accepted as being healthy), and if you’re eating a variety of plant-based foods, it’s really not a difficult regimen to follow.

    • @mattis1389

@@sunflowerboo892 ya it's just much for a vegetable. They generaly have low levels of protein per Gramm. So if you wanna choose a protein richer one Brokkoli is an option. But of course it's nothing compared to beans or something. Partly aswell since those have much lower water content. Water rich foods will always be proportionaly lower in other nutrienal contents.

There are no long term studies on a diet completely void of animal foods, nutrition science isn't black and white and there is so much more to understanding nutrition. For every study in favor of a "plant-based diet," (key word, plant-based, because there aren't any long term vegan diets,) is a study just as reputable that can contradict it. Saturated animal fat and cholesterol is required for every metabolic process and is required to synthesize vitamin D from the sun, a vitamin vegans get even less than meat eaters already. Heme iron being the only iron bioavailable to humans, and the only iron that can properly reverse anemia. Veganism lacks B12, obviously, with supplementation varying in efficacy, adequate amounts of fat soluble vitamins such as D3, K2(MK4, MK7, MK9), bioavailable vitamin A (retinol) and vitamin E. Eating only plants will offset your omega3-omega6 ratio, plants and vegetable seed oils contain large quantities of inflammatory omega6 fatty acids that is difficult to balance out. Then you have to take the gut-microbiome into consideration, and how healthy your digestive system actually is. There's a multitude of factors that effect digestibility of certain foods. Like antinutrients, which can wreak havoc on the gastrointestinal tract. The paper value on the back of a box means absolutely nothing to the human body and you cannot assume we can be optimally healthy on a vegan diet long term regardless of how meticulous your attention to your nutrition intake and supplementation. We have stomach acid near the same as felines and my teeth 100% chew through meat. We are in fact biologically an obligate omnivore. Animal foods cannot be mimicked or replaced, we cannot conclude your claims to be true until we have a scientifically validated case of a human subsisting off strictly plant foods from birth to death. This is just nonsensical new age pseudoscience.

For anyone coming across this video, everything this woman said in this video is completely and undeniably false. 1. Human's stomach are highly acidic (even more than some carnivorous animals) and meant to breakdown meat, any doctor and scientist will tell you this. 2. Even if you believe in evolution, meat consumption played a major role in our evolution and brain development, so why would you reverse that process by trying to go vegan. 3. She says broccoli has more protein than steak, I've never heard such a fairy tale statement lol. 4. The nutrients in plants are not available to be absorbed by humans, nutrients in animals are immediately available to be absorbed. Lastly, humans are not animals, we have dominion over animals, so we sacrifice animals to nourish ourselves just as she mentions the Native Americans, same as a lion would sacrifice a gazelle in the wild.

    • @jedixneuf

@@jedixneuf I do not know if he is a crazy religious nut, however he really believes what he states. Many omnivores see the issue as a completely
natural dominance mentality. I am superior, I am predator, they are prey.
The human ego is out of control. When humans talk about 'animals" they are referring to those 'lower' animals, beneath superior humans. They do not see themselves as that "animal'. Its' amazing that the ability to dominate and kill makes humans feel, superior, and king of the jungle, so to speak. Also, we
vegans are confrunted as being "arrogant' when the ultimate arrogance is omnivorism--the belief of being so superior that it justifies killing animals to eat and making them into our victims. It lacks empathy and compassion. it is also a massive addiction to the overstimulation of flesh and blood; like a drug in the human body and mind. peace to you from a 25+ year whole food ethical vegan.
