- Such a strange, but great 80s track! A band who had a number of good synthpop tracks.
I don't remember making this, and as i've not published anything for some weeks... I chucked together a slideshow, and uploaded this untouched from how I found it on the hard drive.
I am working on a couple of tracks at the mo! One new, and another touching up something I started a few years ago,!!
My yerphones died... then returned two rubbish pairs in a row, so not been able to work on extended mixes much for a while. Thanks TK Max, 60% off what are pretty good ones at a good price!
Hope ya like this mix! ...and I hope it is mine? But cannot find it on RUclips, or anywhere... and while listening to it... It kinda brought back a memory of working on it, maybe one day years ago making it quickly as wanted a longer version quick for woteva playlist I had for that days.
One reason it looks like i've not done much over the last couple of months, is Prince - 1999 Pupmix! Is blocked in many first world countries, Inc the UK!... so Use a VPN, and look for it! ...It kinda got to 3x the original 12" length haha!! ..and took a LOT of work! So not chuffed it's blocked due to a RUclips checks ERROR! For which they haven't bothered to respond to me about it, as I re-edited it to remove what was gettin' it blocked.

The Associates were NOT known in the USA during the early 1980s, but they should have been.. even MTV over here didn't air the video for this..
I was lucky that we had a Woolworth's department store near me and I saw the cassette for "Sulk" with the androgynous looking men on the cover, and saw that it was Sire Records, which I knew even then in 1982/1983 was a label for good music from the UK.. thanks to MTV during the 1981-198? period (as we all know MTV went to shit after the 1980s) we at least had the britpop invasion with Human League, Culture Club, ABC, Roxy Music, Blow Monkeys, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran etc...
So I was thrilled when I listened to "Sulk".. it was like finding a hidden gem!

I remember as clear as day watching Billy Mackenzie and the Associates performing "Party Fears Two" on Top of the Pops in '82. I'd never seen or heard anything like it before. I bet that I didn't blink once. Outstanding and reverential remix Pup.

Thank you for the compliment! ...I seem to recall it was one that I made one afternoon as whatever playlist I had, I decided on that song last, and wanted a longer version. So really it became, very fast! As many mixes take weeks, or longer! ...mainly as I just use Audacity, on a cheap laptop, and haven't much of a clue what I'm doing most of the time! lol
