This is what a real camera video review should be; exceptional examples, real world observations from seasoned usage and fantastic footage to boot. Keep it up man!
Im more a landscape photographer than an street photographer. As i like to shoot with film i watch many street photography channels as there is not much else to watch, they tend to be random shots with, to my opinion, no sense or composition (still praise the work they take to do those videos). But with your videos im fascinated with your skill to compose well and so fast. I have seen all your videos an I understand i takes lots of training to get to the level in what you do. What i can not understand is why you do not have at least 100k subscribers.
I also agree, Eduardo is so on the ball, damn quick and sees artistic composition all the time.. he is really up there. Maybe doing other projects like writing and theatre keeps the eyes fresh...
Love the video as per usual. My biggest takeaway though was that my Spanish hasn't deteriorated as much as I thought it had! I'm very proud to say that, even after years without hearing or speaking much Spanish, which is not my first language, I still understood all of your introduction. Keep up the great work man, great shots as always.
Happened to see your video. I didn’t expect much, but like some other fellows pointed out: your street photographing skills is so fast and precise that I thought you wasn’t took the shots. Great result photos! I like how people ignore you, which I feel more challenging to have in Finland. Keep up the great work! I’m your new fan!
3:58 *fantastic* shot! In and out, didn't disturb the scene. Amazing. If it were me, by the time I got the photo, the guy would have got up and the lady would be wearing different clothes :)
I enjoy this a lot. I just got this camera so this was an excellent tutorial. Im sure my shots will be nowhere near as good as yours though...you are the master.
I completely agree with you about how the camera hangs on straps. To me that is the number one downside. Just got this yesterday and so far. I totally love it! Great review thank you!
Eduardo, if you want to put a strap on a film camera with the strap lugs on the front (like the Canon 7 that I use) use a strap like a Black Rapid that screws into the tripod socket and the camera hangs upside down. It's an extremely comfortable strap, I highly recommend it!
Hey Eduardo, beautiful images! Did you buy this film in Mexico on your trip? I really love the colors it produces and would love to get my hands on a few rolls.
Excellent photos and I love watch you take photos! Keep up the amazing work! But something I don't get, why was the introduction in Spanish and the review in English? I don't mind reading subtitles, but it would make more sense if the entire video was in the same language and that you did some videos in English and some in Spanish. PS Great film! Kodak UltraMax rebatched, maybe?
Eduardo, this is my favorite shoot film episode thus far. That wide lens and that muted color film really made your style shine. Is that film from one of those film projects that packages film randomly?
I've been deciding whether or not to get this or save up for an R2. I found out about it back when my zone focusing wasn't great. I'm still not good at measuring distance, but i'm glad you noted using wide lenses, since thats what i tend to like for street. Also, shoutout to the guy in Israel making viewfinders. Everyone who's gone looking has definitely run across his ebay page
What is that film? it looks really good! or maybe your scanning skills are just really good. either way Im curious and would love to try tht film out if you know where I could get some
Since the camera is light maybe try a wrist strap like with the LOMO LC-A. I know it’s not ideal but it might be a bit more secure if you’re afraid of dropping it.
Nice review and shooting! I had a bessa l too for the last 12 months, but i sold it for a canon p. It has to much cheap plastic on it and the winding mechanism gave me overlapping frames. I loved the t-setting for not using a cable release, it`s a good feature for doing a longtime-exposure. It could have been a nice modern screw-mount camera! Cheers from germany!
Awesome video and photos as always! Did you scan them yourself (I'm guessing not since you're on a trip)? I guess it's not too relevant to this video since you were shooting a wide-angle at f16, but could you go into your method for zone focusing? I try to "reset" to 1.5m after each scene then estimate which way I should turn (towards infinity or towards 0.7m, usually towards infinity) but wanted to get your opinion on it.
wonderful photos that were taken, i have watched your video for a long time, and it's all amazing. i have a small question about Bessa L or Bessa Voigtlander : i've never seen a 50 or 35mm lens that were used with this camera except the wide angle lens. So can it be used with kind of 50 - 35mm lens??? thanks so much!
I can, but it's really hard to use, because it's a blind camera: it has no viewfinder. so you would have to scale focus the distance, and the compression for a 50mm will surely make you miss the focus, unless you shoot at f/5.6 or so.
I shoot a 50mm on a Bessa L with a Voigtlander Kontur finder. Hyperfocus with small apertures, or take your time estimating focus with wide ones. It's no more difficult than using an old folder or any other scale focus camera. You can Tippex dots for close up, full body or distance on the lens if it helps.
How does he do it?! So quick to take photos. Whenever I try and take photos in the street, I don't get half the shots because I'm to slow to compose and focus. :/
One of my favourite cameras. I think all cameras should have a light meter by the controls. Makes alot of sense.
This is what a real camera video review should be; exceptional examples, real world observations from seasoned usage and fantastic footage to boot.
Keep it up man!

Damn this gave me so many feels. Muchas gracias, de verdad.
Joan Gili Suárez I agree, way too few subscribers.
I also agree, Eduardo is so on the ball, damn quick and sees artistic composition all the time.. he is really up there. Maybe doing other projects like writing and theatre keeps the eyes fresh...
Yeap...very amazing channel....I hope more will subscribe.
I admire your speed! So quick to see/compose/take and then when the shot shows up on screen it's so good! It's a joy to watch you work
Man, you get SO close to your subject. I need more balls to do that.
The drumming, the streets, the timing, the postures, the faces, the photos, the angles, the lens. Awesome.
Those shots were amazing. Love how fast you compose your shots! ✨
I've just bought one of these cameras and now I'm even more excited about shooting the first roll. Also great photos!
Ed, these images are wonderful, keep up the amazing work! Hugs from France

Muchas gracias!
I do not usually comment on videos but I am blown away by the photos you have taken. Incredible shots:)
I love that these are in Spanish. It's important to represent South and Central American Photographers.
What about us in the Caribbean tho? lol. Hay hispanohablantes en el caribe tambien socio!
this video is truly a return to form. awesome job, images look fantastic.
Wtf? That film is better than all your films before!! Or now you know how to scan :-))
I think he didn't developed the roll himself this time, so that's why the colors look right.
You are right and not only that, this scans are lab scans.
Normally Eduardo develop and adjust his scans to suit his preferences.
These images are incredible!
Apart from your talent, that body/lens/film combo really matches...wow!
I love watching the gears turn in your head when you're considering the composition.
Beyond the review it's self .. Your photos are honestly superb my friend .
Pretty excited to see a notification about a new video! Love your work!
Wow...the results are impressive. Great lens and an accurate light meter.
Happened to see your video. I didn’t expect much, but like some other fellows pointed out: your street photographing skills is so fast and precise that I thought you wasn’t took the shots. Great result photos! I like how people ignore you, which I feel more challenging to have in Finland.

Amazing! I adore the way you approach your subjects and capture all these moments! Bravo!
Some of my favorite shots of yours! Wonderful work!
Lovely photos! Those "strap holders" are called "strap lugs" in English.
yay. thanks man! new words for me to hoard.
you're lighting fast with focusing. mad skill. much respect.
Unreal street shots, great ability to get close, especially with a 15mm. The film is real vivid too.
3:58 *fantastic* shot! In and out, didn't disturb the scene. Amazing. If it were me, by the time I got the photo, the guy would have got up and the lady would be wearing different clothes :)
British humour at its best, OldCameras!
Precioso!
That film looks so clean!!!
Damn you are the one of the best street photoshoper I saw on RUclips. You attitude and way of approaching subject is just brillant.
Great work Eduardo! I always look forward to your videos. Thank you!
Pictures are absolutely genius! Great video
I think these are some of the best shots you've ever done! Well done for another amazing video ♥️
Outstanding pictures... And all of these great shots in a day? Its crazy, really motivational. Makes me want to by film camera as my next one.
I enjoy this a lot. I just got this camera so this was an excellent tutorial. Im sure my shots will be nowhere near as good as yours though...you are the master.
You got a lot of keepers on this roll. Camera seemed like a real pleasure to use too.
I completely agree with you about how the camera hangs on straps. To me that is the number one downside. Just got this yesterday and so far. I totally love it! Great review thank you!

Some of your best shots.
Eduardo you are a very good photographer. I really enjoy watching your videos.

These photos are amazing!
your photographs are stunning in this video! you make excellent work of that 15mm!
I have 25mm. This is the cam that taught me to zone fcus really well. I had no choice lol. Very good vid. I use a single little wrist strap.
That was some beautiful color film. Let's see a review of that!!
Great street photography! That's a lovely camera!
Superb pictures as always !
Damn that film is beautiful! love how sharp the images are and that wide angle is simply awesome!
Man! You just nailed it perfect😮 love the way how careless you shoot strangers and at the same time composing so fast👌
Great video! Awesome to see Mexico City, and I thought the work was some of your best yet. You are a super talented street photographer!
such a relaxation to watch your videos!
I really enjoyed this review, thanks
Wow al parecer 15mm es una maravilla 💜
Grandes fotos edo!
Great video of the street photography. Thanks 🙏
Really enjoyed the review and the hands metering advice, I'll try that. Thank you
STREET!!!!!!!!! Boy! You go right up into their faces! BRAVE STREET!! IMHO
Hey Eduardo, beautiful images! Did you buy this film in Mexico on your trip? I really love the colors it produces and would love to get my hands on a few rolls.
I have a Bessa L paired with the snapshot-skopar 25mm with external viewfinder great camera
The picture at 03:57 is super cool!!!
probably my favorite one.
The rubber coating on the hand grip is infamous on pre-Bessa R2 models. The coating on my R are almost off completely so it is not a problem now.
Eduardo, this is my favorite shoot film episode thus far. That wide lens and that muted color film really made your style shine. Is that film from one of those film projects that packages film randomly?

eduardo!!! love your style bro! love your work!!! such an inspiration, keep it up :)
amazing shots man... u manage to get so close! love the colours as well. where did u get that film?
aw damn Ed's on fire

if you want a versatile camera to shoot a 50mm from time to time, get the R2. if you just want a light camera to shoot wide lenses, get the L. :)
What is that film? it looks really good! or maybe your scanning skills are just really good. either way Im curious and would love to try tht film out if you know where I could get some
you're such an insane and inspiring photographer
great vid ed!
Your scale focusing skills are admirable!
F8 on that 15mm will have just about everything in focus.
Looking at the Bessa T, now, why would that have a built in rangefinder if you still have to couple with a viewfinder?
so good!
What viewfinder did you use? I recently got a Bessa L and have been shopping around.
Awesome video and photos as always! Did you scan them yourself (I'm guessing not since you're on a trip)?
I guess it's not too relevant to this video since you were shooting a wide-angle at f16, but could you go into your method for zone focusing? This is awesome, nice footage! I just put a bid on this camera for $100 USD. Is that fair?
..LOVE THE MUSIC ..Lalo Schifrin style...Jim (Eduardo ) on the move
bien hecho!

This is your best street photo session ever!
The Bessa R is my favorite film camera!
That's wide, man.
What is the film you’re using I can’t find it anywhere
Effortless dude, stunning video as always! :)
How does he do it?! So quick to take photos. Whenever I try and take photos in the street, I don't get half the shots because I'm to slow to compose and focus. :/
Christopher Carrillo pre focus and the super wide angle lens helps a lot besides his skills of course
