    I'm an adoptive parent. Adopted 5 times now. Update our homestudy, everything was approved and was picked for committee of a sibling group, 3 days before the adoption, everything was canceled. It breaks your heart, to go through this process, prepare your family and then have everything fall through because the caseworker was a flake! So many families waiting, caseworkers who should not be working with kids made these decisions then you have to start all over again.We won't do this again. :(

    I really hope I can be a successful women in the future so I can have a kid on my own and also adopt a kid and be able to make them really happy, take care of them like they deserve and treat him/her like my own. Life is a gift, giving it is a big responsibility and it is sad how some people still don't understand this... I am not having children until I am fully capable of giving them what they deserve. I am happy for these kids who got adopted, they all are really sweet.

    I.was adopted by my great Aunt and Uncle. Always have and still to this day know my biological mother. She went on had, raised 3 more children. Spent MY summers with my biological mother and stepfather and half siblings. As an adult in my 40s I look back and realize the damage done by knowing and visiting my biological mother as i grew up. I feel it would have been better to not know her and wonder about her than live one state over and wonder "why are my siblings good enough for her to keep and i wasn't"
    Had my parents (adopted) known the toll it was takingn on me they would've put a stop to her and I being in contact. They just did what they thought was best for me. I literally couldn't hand pick a better set of parents.
    I pray all children of all ages in foster homes or taken by the system find loving homes. Whether it be with biological parents or adopted. Sometimes adopted parents turn out best for some children. Did for me.

    Each of these children, and many others, show the most incredible kind of courage and resilience. I am in the process of becoming a licensed foster parent in my state right now. When I watch video's like these I pray that I will be a good enough human being to be chosen as an adoptive parent by one or more of these incredible kids. God Bless them all.

      The Holy Spirit WILL help you become that "good enough human being." Just have to be willing to work with Him. Jesus transformed my entire life!

    Adopting is the most beautiful and humbling thing one can ever make. It is an absolute and perfect gift of oneself to another human being. And it is also the greatest joy on Earth, to see one's child blossoming and becoming a happy and productive adult. So, don't hesitate: it will be the experience of your life time...

    We cannot wait to welcome home a child into our family as their forever family! :) We are in the process to adopt out of the foster system and in the next year we will have our first child into our home!

    @ashat: I only know about Arizona, but here it is just the opposite. CPS is doing their best with what little money they have, but not enough reports are being investigated. CPS has also changed a LOT in the last 25 years. The first action plan is to get kids back with their biological parents. The second action plan is for a close relative to take the kids. Parents have a year to get their act together and every opportunity is afforded to them.

    @ashatbulaparanormal
    Perhaps you should become a foster parent and learn about the reality for lots of kids. Anyone can reproduce, and many do who really should not. Too many kids are in horrible situations and CPS does not do enough to protect them. That's the reality you would learn as a foster parent.

    1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
    15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

    I am so embaraased to be from the same place as ASHTABULA Paranormal [which means NOT normal]. And I can actually spell Ashtabula. There are so many kids out there who need help---there is no one to advocate for them, or as many interviewed kids state, "to protect them." Shame on you AP. Our county does an excellent job....

    Is the foster home cruel to children? How are you treated there? I heard people move a lot, and siblings get separated. But I was wondering what it's like to live in the actual home. Just wondering, sorry.

    • @TheNahaw
      @TheNahaw 9 лет назад +2

      A lot of foster parents are just in it for the money they're given, which they are supposed to use to care for the child but don't. I'm talking about a percentage though not all foster parents are abusive, thieving, arse holes
