Thank you! Best tutorial for this stitch, you explain things so clearly, making sense of what were actually doing.
Hands down the BEST Tunisian smock stitch tutorial on the web!!!
Wow, thank you! I am glad you like it!
You explain this well. I watched a few other videos and I rolled my eyes twice.
I am so glad you found it helpful!
Your explanation was so clear and easy to follow. Thank you very much!

This is a more simple version from what I have learned in the past. Thank you so much!!
Thank you! This was by far the best tutorial on smock stitch that I've found.
I understand you more than other youtubes.
Well I got my Tunisian needle/hook!! My dear friend asked me to "crochet " her this beautiful stich it looks so soft! I went "oh gosh that is Tunisian 😮I never done that! So I thought lets check what Ashleigh has on her tutorials and guess what I found a super great tutorial for it!!! Thank you Ashleigh for sharing!!! You saved me🥰❤️🧶🌻
ugh thank you for this. I was struggling with someone else's instructions and didn't realize until later that the ends are different depending on the row. Very clear instruction on the edges.
I am so glad you found it helpful!
I don't know how you did it....BUT I finally understand how to do this stitch. Omg thank you 🎉
Wonderful!
Beautiful!! Great cowl!!’
Fabulous tutorial!
Thank you! 😊
Is it possible to do the green and grey as a square to make a blanket?
How would you increase and decrease in this stitch?
How did you add the 2nd color?
You can get the background color by doing the backwards pass of slip stitches in a different color, and doing the forward pass in your main color.
Is there a trick to having both edges looking the same? I am finding one edge has more of a flat spot than the other edge. I am lefthanded so for me it is the right side of the piece.
Maybe I should add I have worked this from the written directions, which are awesome! Will try to watch the video and see if I am missing something.
BUT…. how did you make it grey with green smocking over that charcoal grey??
That's what I want to know. Do you cut the yarn on every row? What's the best way to join the yarn?
Hi! I did used a double ended hook and did tunisian in the round...using one color on the forward pass and a different color for the backward pass.
