Wiping the floor with Toutatis in every department Gotham City Escape at Parque Warner in my opinion is this years stand out rollercoaster, phenomenal queue line theming and an intense ride experience combined with a familiar IP just made this an unforgettable ride! But the question is, is it better than Velocicoaster?
I know one thing it’s easily one of Europe’s best rollercoasters!

The theming is pretty inconsequential on Velocicoaster. It doesn't elevate it much, if at all.

looks incredible but gotta say, based on surrounding terrain alone, VelociCoaster takes the crown.
I agree, surrounding terrain is just 🔥 on VC
Been there the day it opened. Truly spectacular. The way the seat only holds you by the hip and nothing else really gives you the feeling of being suspended in the air and jumping around it.

I've been on both velocicoaster and gotham city escape. Velocicoaster is superior to this in speed and intensity. While Gotham city Escape is a fun ride, velocicoaster is more thrill!

Also in terms of theming, Velocicoaster looks like you're in a velociraptor cage, while this one doesn't give the 'Gotham City' feeling
I have only BGCE and i don't know how much intense is VC, but... men... Gotham is INSANE. All airtimes are ejectors and the hill is really crazy. I love the trims on the top hat and the stall... Both elements are so different and sooo cool than others... Completely insane.

Velocicoaster is AMAZING!!! The power of the 2nd launch and intense drop after the second launch just HITS!!
Been on this today … my word. What a ride. Utterly terrified first time I went on, one of the first rides that I felt like I couldn’t put my hands in the air. That stall upside down I thought I was going to die. Then the second time, hands up, and loved it. Superb ride.
Unbelivable isn’t it, they’ve made an absolute monster in ever so glad you enjoyed it!
I have just tried it for the first time and I did put my hands up! To me that was just natural, the ride and the experience on board just ask for it!
Having only been on velocicoaster I can’t comment. But talking to the likes of Scott and when Shawn visits next week it will be interesting to hear his comparisons.
I know Scott loved it as we were both like little kids on it wanting to go around again and again and again and that's saying something as the preshow takes FOREVER

That stall at the top hat, woah! I never ridden both (but planning to ride VC this month), but it would be a futile attempt to compare both of them. VC seems more speed-themed and 'grounded' like its namesake, while Gotham seems to be 'floaty'.
Would it be a good descriptor if I guess VC is thrilling, while Gotham is intense?

I love how it ends with the Joker laughing at you thinking you could escape Gotham

It all ties into the audio… the experience is much more aggressive than VC. I did VC back row a few weeks ago and was bitterly disappointed apart from the last inversion over the lake but I need to do front row to get a better idea
I only rode BGCE and it was very good but in my opinion, I think Velocicoaster is a little bit better (based on POV's).

In terms of story- absolutly not. This has more suspension of disbelief than velocicoaster, which mostly plays it straight

I've ridden both and I gotta say... GCE > Veloci. Not by far, Veloci still has the better themeing throughout the ride, the second launch and the ending with the mosassaurus roll, but imo GCE has better airtime and pacing. In the end both are incredible coasters!
Appreciate the opinion! GCE is the only ride so far that feels like it genuinely wants to kill you in the best way possible 😂
Velocicoaster takes some beating, possibly my favourite coaster. Theming obviously goes to VC but not gonna lie some of the elements on this ride look mental 😮. I need to ride this 😅
You really do but on-ride theming - VC is a VERY clear winner
the end with the broken track turned this into like a combo of Velocicoaster and Hagrids Motorbike. The drop from the tophat on this one if its really as slow as it shows in the video thats definitely more intense than veloci cause you definitely get through that much quicker instead of hanging there for a bit. its so weird though they get to their tophat so much faster its like velocicoasters track but out of order😂 and then they just throw in a part of hagrids at the end. I think velocicoasters build up to the tophat looks better from a pov perspective, even after the tophat too it stays intense all throughout, this is one has a very intense drop and then pretty basic movements the rest of the time. would still love to try it though
That hanging at the top goes perfectly with some onboard audio of you being guided around on this mission.

looks very different than vc. looks longer, and looks like it has some very cool elements, especially that slow crest and the long inversion.
the thing about vc is that there are no breaks. it is much denser. it's just element, element, element, element, the whole way through.
The only break in GCE is atop the top hat where the dialogue explains why you’re up there. I very much look forward to riding VC one day!

This ride look amazing! I appreciate the multi launch mechanics but not better than Velocicoaster by a long shot. It doesn't mean this ride isn't amazing though in its own way for all its own reasons!
I don't think the POV does it any justice... although this ride absolutely ruined Taron for me. I did this before Taron and Taron was a pile of s**t in comparison which sucks because everyone hypes that coaster up as much as Velocicoaster in Europe terms

Velocoaster is amazing, but I love Batman so I'd definitely be down to try it! I feel like Velocoaster is going to edge it out though.
I think VC wins the on ride theming by a mile but I think the ride experience will be very close. I find out very soon!
@@LiftHillsandThrills It does have a similar feel. I like VC's ending better. I feel like I'm a little biased because I love VC so much, but I'll stay open minded until I try this one.

Looks awesome... I was like no way better than velocicoaster... it might be... that slow roll over the big hill though? How many times does it have a rollback? Like 1 out of every 10... other areas look suspect too. IDK... Show me its safety record... lol
It does rollback quite a bit, especially when it opened but I haven’t seen reports of it happen for quite some time now
I prefer velocicoster, 'cause its atmosphere is much better than this one.

I've only ridden Velocicoaster of these two and loved it. From the video this ride looks great but not as good. I don't like how it seem to crawl through some of the elements. Part of what makes Velocicoaster so strong is how snappy the transitions and elements are. Theming on VC is amazing as well and helps to enhance the ride even more.
Overall though preference between the two i think will come down to whether you like quick transitions or hangtime more.
The POV does not do it justice unfortunately but is exactly how you described VC with the only slow moment being at the top of the top hat which has an audio cue that makes sense as to why you come to a stop. Well worth a ride for sure! Thanks for watching!

I don't understand why these places are not putting animatronics, statues, rock formations and landscape and such all over, they just leave these rights with nothing but the track and dirt
The queue line is that themed they probably don’t have anymore $$ to spend on exterior theming. It’s a shame as the ride is unbelievable
I have just tried it and it's been the ride of my life!! And to think I used to be scared of thrill rides throughout my whole life and it wasn't until I was in my 30's that I finally overcame my fear! Yet in this one I rode with my hands up!
The lapbar alone, no shoulder restraints, and no matter how tight you try to fit it, it has some play and during heavy airtime it gives out a bit, so you feel like you are gonna fall off your seat!

It’s the gardens of Wayne Manor (I believe) until you eventually end up at the Gotham area that was already present within the park

Amazing roller coaster absolutely but not much theming and special efx compared to the big dogs in universal/disney. But as a raw roller coaster i would without question love to take a spin.

Nop, not better than the Velocicoaster. I would say the tracks are almost similar, but the Velocicoaster is better themed. That’s where most theme parks fail.
Agreed, although I like the Gotham queue line better than the lab stylings of VC, it’s more interactive and immersive (for me) but on ride theming, there’s no competition. Intrigued regarding the ride experience though…
I would've liked subtitles so I could understand the story and what's being said. Also you should have looked up there at the beginning we could only see straight ahead which was limiting when other things are happening

Great ride, great POV, but Velocicoaster can’t be compared to any other because it is just so phenomenal.
You see, I really didn't think so. I got the back row though and it feels more like a front row ride. I'll get a front row ride soon and compare but on the back row Gotham City Escape absolutely wipes the floor with it and it's not even close (for me)

What makes VC the better ride? POVs are a hard indicator as I thought this POV looked slow and boring… then I experienced it… oh how wrong I was

Audio kicks in at that point and the POV doesn’t do it justice you get a good whip on the way down and whilst you’re right, the pacing suffers it’s more of a story led addition, for me it works but not everyone’s a fan

Not even close. The theming alone of Velocicoaster owns this battle. The ride itself is still a slight edge to V-coaster
The theming of Gotham in the queue wipes the floor with VC (in my opinion) from walkthroughs. I haven’t been on VC hence the question being asked regarding ride experience

While I haven't ridden this coaster, it certainly doesn't look better than Velocicoaster. Velocicoaster is insanely fast, and has an amazing ride design built in around it.
The POV certainly doesn’t do it justice but this is arguably the best Intamin in Europe by some distance, I look forward to riding VC

I’ve never been on GCE… but being completely honest this doesn’t look like it compares to VC in my opinion. What makes Velocicoaster so intense is it just doesn’t stop, it keeps getting more and more intense with no pause. This one just looked like it had a lot of slower/dead moments. Just my opinion though haha!!
Well that’s the thing I thought the same watching the POV of this before riding but on ride is a different story. Watched the VC one and thought the exact same. So can’t wait to check out VC, the POVs just never factor in that Intamin insanity of airtime and whippy transitions, appreciate the comment man!
It's the opposite. VC has dead moments and Batman is non-stop! VC is good, but Batman is better.

What makes VC stand out do you think?
@@LiftHillsandThrills it's high on intensity from start to finish, and doesn't ever feel like it's lagging. Even at the end it's still trying to spit you out the seat. This coster just lags a bunch a feels like it's gonna stall a lot.
@@420cobaltss The only time it feels like stalling is the purpose stall on the top hat. Have you ridden GCE? Stalling is the last thing on its mind
its a good ride but i find the duation shot i prefer Pantheon and Velocercoaster and posobily Toutatis
