The salt will absorb into the hide, therefore picking the hide. Thanks for watching.

How many days do I leave the sale on the elk hide.?

Good question. Until the hide is dry, and it can be left on it for longer.

Hi! Am i able to use table salt non iodized? Sadly no one around me has feed salt :(

Yes it’s basically the same.
Great question.
I’ve used it several times over the years, it’s very good to dry and eliminate bacteria that can grow in the hide, the whole purpose of the salt.
