The biwa’s an underrated Japanese instrument, it’s so cool.

I feel like the biggest problem with the biwa is that it's not really used outside of recitations. It sounds awesome, but people will most likely only hear it in forms that aren't considered music for our modern aesthetic. But even those musicans that want to modernize the biwa tend to be far too avant garde. This in turn alienates people that would otherwise be interested in the instrument.

琵琶で検索すると平家物語の語りばかり出てくるので、この動画はとても興味深く楽しめました。
日本古来の楽器も普通に演奏して楽しめると知って嬉しいです。もっと琵琶の音の良さが知られると嬉しいですね。
