Young Frankenstein is a splendid homage to the old Universal movies. It's made with real love and affection. When i was 12, i saw this 12 times in one week. This was back in the days when you could stay and see the film again, without getting turfed out !
Man, Marty was something else. Actors get "the giggles" all the time, but I can only imagine what working on a Mel Brooks film with those fabulous comedic people would be like. It's amazing anything got done at all!!
I'd like to thank each and everyone of you that have commented. The only negative comments were mostly for quality or ad content. I would upload an updated better quality version but I have lost the original source. "Young Frankenstein" is and has always been my favorite movie from the first time I watched it 40 years ago. It is perfect from beginning to end.
@@jozeflenders But, she stayed gorgeous for a VERY long time, and a great actress and smart so there's more. And probably a lot of fun. I'm just guessing.
Neil Huff it is my second favorite movie only to Back to the Future it was a brilliant decision to film it in black and white I don't think I would ever work in color
Watching these clips reminds me of my reaction the first time I saw "Young Frankenstein." I could barely stay in my seat I was laughing so hard. I don't think another movie, at least I can't remember one, has ever made me laugh more.
One of thee best movies Mel ever produced...every actor and actress was the cream of the crop never settling on mediocre...just so well done unmatched with any movies made since then.,..you just cannot communicate and connect with an audience through computer generated swill. These movies are a conglomeration of top notch crew and actors and it shows.
Want to do something really fun? I'm an old Monster buff since about 1956 and know all the Universal movies by heart almost. You have to had watched ALL of the original Frankenstein movies to get all the humor here. Watch them all again, then rewatch this movie and you'll get some new humor that you missed before! I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!
I liked when Igor's hump kept changing sides. My friend and I were in stitches in the cinema when it was released. So many one liners. What a brilliant comedy.🤣🤣🤣
One of the funniest one-liners I've ever heard in movies. "Igor! Help me with these bags." "Certainly. you take the blonde, I'll take the one in the turban." 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is by far my most favorite comedy film. I can still remember going to the movie when it first came out, my cousin and I laughing our heads off while our wives laughed at us. I love this film.
Teri Garr, in an interview not too long ago, said Gene Wilder was an ass and she didn’t enjoy working with him. 😂. Poor thing has M.S. - it was sad to see.
The cello gives another dimension to this piece. The acoustics of the place that you have chosen plus the deep letany of the strings makes from your interpretation an alternative and wonderful way to enjoy the "POE-tic" of the music.THANK YOU VERY MUCH for sharing your creativity and talent with us.
This finally informed me after forty odd years why the horses went nuts every time they heard Frau Blucher's name invoked-----it mean glue in German. I thought she was doing something weird with the horses. I saw this in a local last-run theater in the 70's. A very very fond childhood memory. Thanks Mel, Gene, Marty, Madalaine, Teri, Peter, Cloris, and Gene Hacknman for the laughter. No one makes funny movies any more with the wild inventiveness of Mel Brooks. The 70's ruled for comedy.
One of the greatest movie experience I had was seeing this movie about five years ago in Burbank, Ca. Of course most people there already had seen it multiple times. But seeing it with people who loved the movie and know the lines...that was a treat.
the greatest thing about that scene where he bites the fur neck piece is that a small smile from gene wilder actually made its way into the movie... seriousy watch it!
I saw this movie for the first time at a summer fest when I was in high school, and later during my college years at the campus theater (the Taco version of "Puttin on the Ritz" was released during my freshman year). Seeing this brings back so many memories and Marty Feldman savaging the fox fur piece is hilarious!
For me, this is the funniest movie I've ever seen. It was when I first saw it back in 1974 and it still is today. Just watching these clips, I laugh so hard the tears run.
Horrible how this is missing in much of today film making. Everything is so high strung and regimented, acting professionally doesn't even seem remotely fun anymore.
One of my TOP 10 films of ALL TIME!! If you are a movie buff at all then this one belongs in your collection! If you have not seen it yet-find it and watch it NOW!! Frau Blusher!!
When arriving at someone's door step and noticing their door knocker I never miss an opportunity to say "what knockers" to my wife. Or ask if she wants to have a roll in the hay...
I was in college, dating my now wife of 44 years. I laughed so hard in this movie. One scene I actually fell out of my seat laughing so hard when the monster (Peter Boyle) catapults the little girl in the water from the teeter totter ( original Frankenstein it’s is more dramatic. ). The irony….hit me hard. The other was when Gene Hackman lights the monster’s finger thinking I it’s his cigar…peed my self. So many jokes and the bloopers add so much. Thank you for the memory.
I wonder how many people don't know that Feldman was doing a Groucho impression when he says, "certainly, you take the blonde one and I'll take the one with the turban." ? How many generations before all the context is lost?

Marty Feldman was a genius at making people laugh anywhere, anytime. Legend.
Love you Gene. We will miss you.... RIP

and now RIP Gene Wilder.
+Adam Kelleher ...and RIP Madeline Kahn.
@@10995 You could tell they had a party the whole time they made this flick.
"Stay close to the candles. The staircase can be treacherous". LOL! I love the way Cloris says that line. This was such a good movie.
Yes! Just the word "treacherous" is worth the price of admission (so to speak).
And the candles AREN'T LIT!!
How could they not laugh. The move was brilliantly hilarious.
Still can't believe Gene is gone now. This is another one of my favorite films he was in. RIP.

"Abby Normal" 🤣. So many hilarious scenes in Young Frankenstein! Thanks for the video!
Mel and Co entertained me thru so many years! Thanks is simply not enough...
May they still be making Heaven roar with laughter...Thank you for the years of laughter tears.
A real classic that still makes me laugh.
It's good to see that they cracked each other up, cuz they sure as hell cracked me up.
Good god, Teri Garr was totally gorgeous.....
That is an understatement.
She was 18 when she was in the original Star Trek tv episode "Assignment: Earth"
She was... but beauty is fleeting. You never ever want to say to an actress how gorgeous she WAS, they hate that.
@@jozeflenders But, she stayed gorgeous for a VERY long time, and a great actress and smart so there's more. And probably a lot of fun. I'm just guessing.

Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts, Carol Burnett, Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In etc.
I have always considered "Young Frankenstein" Mel's best film. About as perfect a comedy can be. Every single actor and line seems right.
Marty Feldman doesn't even need to say a word. He could just walk into the room and I would die laughing.
RIP Mr Wilder- decades of great comedy.
STAY TRUE there will never be anyone like him..just comedy genious!
STAY TRUE decades? Young Frankenstein, Willy wonka, stir crazy... that’s three... am I missing a dozen more?
Jzeaser Blazing Saddles, The Producers, Silver Streak, The Frisco Kid, and he was great in Bonnie and Clyde

So eloquently said, and spot on with films, then and now.
Even though I have it on dvd, I still watch it when ever it's on t.v.
Absolutely the best comedy movie ever.
First Mel Brooks movie I ever saw, and it's been my favorite ever since. RIP, Cloris Leachman
Seriously tho... "put the candle back" Lmao - Thank you Mel Brooks! Genius! Gene Wilder! Hysterically funny movie - thanks Goofbaugh

A classic movie, but Young Madeleine Kahn and Young Teri Garr were also nice to see.

You don’t see it often but Madeline Kahn had the most beautiful smile.
