💲 NEED FINANCIAL ADVICE? 💲
1) Google "fee-only financial adviser" or visit www.NAPFA.org (largest association of fee-only financial advisers). NOT an affiliate link
2) The first question to ask any financial adviser is, "Are you a fiduciary to me 100% of the time". Get the answer in writing
3) Please note that some people call themselves "fee-based". This is NOT the same as fee-only. Fee-only advisers have committed to being fiduciary to you 100% of the time.
4) Personally, I would only hire an adviser who is a fiduciary to me 100% of the time. This is not a suggestion on what you should do. Just sharing my personal preference.
⚠️ Azul's "Scammer" Warning ➡ PLEASE READ! ⚠️
Be careful of scammers. In the comments section, I will NEVER ask you to contact me, offer any investment products, recommend a stock broker, or anything similar. Some scam bot commenters 'ask' for investment help, and later, other comment bots reply with "how great X idea/investment/person is" in the replies. These are scam threads. Do not fall for them.

*194 (A){Hammad}[Sabaree] Dire Warning By Starbucks Recession Has Started
Starbucks is non essential, never understood why people pissed away their money
Any liquid other than plain water is not essential. Buying a car other than a 10-year-old Toyota Corolla is not essential. Living in a house over 1200 sf is not essential. Having cable TV is not essential. Most things in life are not essential. Also, most people don’t want to drive around in a Toyota Corolla drinking tap water.
Agreed. Food or drinks from Starbucks, mcdolds, etc. are all completely discretionary. They should only be purchased with money that you is used to go out to dinner, a movie, or vacation.
Azul, Starbucks is a grossly overpriced product. I was at Ohare airport, ordered a medium size coffee and some mocha thing for my wife. Almost $15 dollars. I suspect consumers are just tired of getting ripped off.
I bet the rent or franchise fees at O’Hare airport had something to do with that high price.
I agree 100%. That goes for a lot of things we buy that’s so over priced. I don’t spend like that anymore.
Starbucks has to pay for the big private corporate jet that is used to fly the "new" CEO guy(who thinks he is special) from California to Seattle...It's all bullshit...your coffee is marked up to support things like that....make the coffee at home!
This is very True. Starbucks contribute to the poverty of AMERICANS. Starbucks steals people's money legally
@@BLaw707 I'm traveling the other side of the world, their prices are just as expensive as back in the US. Mom and pop businesses for me only. I hope they go under, they're a visual nuisance, and bring nothing to society. Their coffee should be max 5 bucks, and that's too much already.
I could never make Starbucks make sense to me! 😂
I live in a smallish town (95k population) and we have 3 Starbucks locations. In the past 2 years there have been 4 specialty coffee houses open. Add to that multiple new travel centers that have large coffee bars. Instead of Starbucks saying that Americans aren't spending as much money as before they should look inward and say Americans aren't spending money with us.
That's exactly what the CEO is saying, and is planning to (try to) correct.
In my opinion, people are just becoming more cautious of frivolous spending. Spending five bucks on a coffee is absolutely ridiculous, no matter how much money you have. The food is highly processed garbage too.
Just because THEIR sales are slowing down, that doesn't mean all sales are slowing down. Slow & rude service for overpriced beverages is not a good business plan.
Want to save and invest thousands of dollars? Don’t go to Starbucks.
And Wawa
Starbucks is not what is making you broke. It is a general pattern of over consumption, too much Car, too much House, too fancy a Vacation etc. Do not try to keep up with Jones's. There is always someone what will out spend you. Stay within your means save and invest 15-20% of your income and you will not be sorry.
I have never been in my life.... but I do have 10+ tons of silver...!
Or dunkin
So McDonalds, now Starbucks? Crappy fast food and burnt coffee aren’t selling? Go figure.
Also, both are supporting zionism, hence facing BDS.
Starbucks has been very aggressive with price increases. I paid almost $4 for a simple Earl Grey tea the other day. A cup, hot water and tea bags. I’ve cut back not because I can’t afford it, i cut back on Starbucks because they are being ridiculous. They are their own worst enemy. Chipotle is similar but they are skimping on serving sizes. It’s not just the protein, they are skimping on rice and beans for crying out loud. They are doing it to themselves. I’m a value driven shopper and these companies are blowing it.
Beans are the best and healthiest source of protein. Animal fkesh is the WORST, being not just full of unwatchable cruelty for the victims but laden with cholesterol and saturated fat. Funny most people don't realize that beans = top level protein.
Agreed. Raise the prices reasonably when you have to, I get that a company can't continue to eat higher costs. But dang it, just as bad as gouging on prices is going to your favorite taco place and getting a burrito that's barely more than an empty tortilla or the bagel place and getting a bagel you couldn't find if you dropped it in a bowl of cheerios.
I’ve never liked Chipotle.
If they didn't jack up their prices so much, may be they can keep their customers. Pure greed !
Having my Folgers instant coffee each morning at home. Live like your parents and grandparents, you can live on a lot less money. Keep it simple. Save and invest.
Starbucks did this to themselves by being greedy.
Woke!
Starbucks, or as I call it Charbucks, should stop selling coffee that tastes burnt and that would help with their sales.
olive oil in their coffee...who needs a recession to scare customers away when their marketing team can do it
Laxman is not CEO of SuxBucks anymore.
Yeah the video appears to be from May 2024
Can I afford Starbucks? Yes. Do I visit as regularly as I used to before the prices started rising? No. I'm tired of "what the market will bear" pricing. That is the problem.
Starbucks has a Starbucks problem Azul. The price of their products has exceeded the value customers perceive in my opinion. Similar with a lot of restaurants as well. I think is more indicative of shifts in consumer demand adjusting for inflation rather than a direct indication the economy is heading for a recession.
My Aeropress makes better coffee than Starbucks.
Starbucks coffee always taste stale and burnt. I don’t understand why folks line up for it. I have 2 Starbucks within a mile of my house and both are always busy.
Starbucks is so overpriced. Never go except with a gift card.
I’ve been with UPS for 30 years. The recession has been approaching for two years. Our business had started decreasing in early 2023. The pandemic stalled it. People need to really watch their spending.
UPS business started slowing down when they jacked up their rates. Many are using alternative delivery services over UPS.
@@davidcollier3604 Once they narrow the gap they charge individuals vs corp. business will increase.
@@davidcollier3604 ups has always been higher than everyone else.
Not sure a luxury drink that is overpriced alone is enough to ring bells over…
A decrease in sales of Starbucks = collapse in the US? That’s extreme.

This isn't about whether YOU like fast food or drive-through coffee. It's an indication of consumer spending (just to add - most wealthy people don't throw their money away so, it's more an indication of the spending of those that want a particular lifestyle, not those that already have)
I miss all the little coffee shops of the 1990s.
All the businesses closing and laying off people eventually will matter.
24,000 jobs in manufacturing alone in August. Sad.
My employees got free FPU from Ramsey Solutions. We had them total all coffee bucks for a month, before and after. The difference was their immediate raise. Employee turnover stopped. That was in March.
Do you want to have a decent retirement? Don't go to Starbucks and invest the money in a tracker. Once retired, buy a good coffee-maker and enjoy!
Booooooooo fear mongering!
It's getting pretty tiring. I could practically write this crap myself.
I think they pushed the price is too high. I always thought that their coffee tasted burned anyway.
I used to get a Starbucks coffee once in a while. Then the lines started to form, and they always seemed to get my name wrong. I haven't been there in many years.
New CEO now so good changes might be on the way.
They keep raising prices! Its no wonder...Even McDonalds offers value so you feel like you are getting a deal. We are all fed up with everyone raising prices.
Are we supposed to be surprised that consumers can’t keep up with corporate price gouging?
People have blown through most of their free house equity already.
Here is why they are declining.. Everyone tells you you can buy ect if you would just stop going to starbucks.
I don't drink a ton of coffee, but I either make it at home or go to a local coffee shop with some semblance of atmosphere.
Nice. I'm hoping the new Starbucks CEO can bring in some atmosphere since I enjoy some of their products.
People can't afford to keep up with the Jones anymore.
Recent 5 minute wait to place order at an empty counter and then 25 minutes for a basic cup of coffee. I learned later that drive thru gets priority because they are logged into the store and rated based on speed. Starbucks has become their own enemy. Good luck
When did this channel get to be click bait? The CEO that he is referencing has been fired.
The consumer needs to transform from sheep to a wolf.
Maybe their coffee woke the customer up? :)
Agree, prefer my coffee to wake me rather than be woke by a company’s culture.
Milkshakes are $6-$10. Coffee is a drug, but SBUX has made it an experience. I don’t drink coffee, but coffee drinkers seem to love it, even at SBUX prices
I wonder which is the motivation of this video. Articles and stock price drop are from April/May. Since mid August, stock price returned to pre-drop level. If you are publishing now, you should have clarified that the situation has improved. So, what is the motivation? likes? Or political misinformation?
I do wonder if the consumer is just getting more sensible and selective - as the population in the west ages maybe more of us are simply choosing to spend our money more carefully and not waste as much on poor quality coffee
It is a national tragedy that the little darlings, the beautiful people, will have to cut back on their Starbucks. Being an old man now, I have seen this all before ~ The Fed has not managed the economy. Years of "helicopter money" and low interest rates, and profligate spending and trillion dollar wars ~ Is a person NOT to expect a worthless $$$ and a recession. Americans are lucky to have not gone thru a war like WWII ~ where Europeans REALLY suffered.
Yes, it gets political too ~ I imagine the voters will vote in Kamala, who is responsible for a lot of this. Yet she runs on JOY. Will it not be more of the Obama/Biden mess ?????????????
That was an article published in April this year.
My financial advisor wont stop sharing all these bearish and dire warnings. Maybe I should sell it all
1929 Crash took 25 years to come back. Conditions are always unique to the time, but the U.S. has a big deficit now that’s unaffordable.
All I can say is the inverted yield is coming back to normal leading up to a stock market crash
@@jbeav3902 if its normal, why a market crash? Isn't it when its inverted that's is impending doom?
Maybe if he took a pay cut and ceased commuting to work via his jet, Starbucks could MODERATE their prices.
Still depending on these click bait videos to gain subscribers? Oh well- unsubscribe
Agreed. I am doing that.
Consumers don’t want severely overpriced coffee? Shocker! Price gouged coffee for a very long time.
Unnecessary neccesities
Normal part business cycle.
Buying opportunities in stock market.
Long bonds much better than short, yields always better.
I think people have been using their credit cards to maintain their lifestyles hence the rising national credit card debt. But that runway is coming to an end. It’s gonna hurt.
I think the problem here is value for money, or more accurately put, lack of it.
Yea well how many are willing to regularly pay $5 for a basic coffee? Make it at home, bring it with you.
This is not advice but here it is😂
Yep, time to cut out the $10 liquid candy cakes guiding as “coffee”.
Also, an ATM charges you a few bucks or more to withdraw your own money! No employees, no workers comp, no HVAC, or other major overhead expenses.
See how Breville’s stock is doing. I found buying the Breville touch saves money and makes better espresso. People just don’t want to spend that much on coffee when home machines do better. Also, I think people get tired of political activism every time we walk into a store.
Inconsistent products, ridiculous pricing , then the changes to the rewards program made me stop purchasing Starbucks. Easy to make my Nespresso in a travel mug. I have the money to pay but I refuse to!
Raw material through the roof too. Coffee gotta be high.
I go to the Starbucks at Cosmo in Vegas and service was off and prices really high. Not a good combonation.
Sounds to me like a dire warning by Starbucks for Starbucks.
As always sage sound advice for us “young” people
Brian Nicole is the CEO. Everything Azul said is old news.
I never buy coffee there, way too strong and way too expensive lol! What i find strange with this video is while i watch they are building a new starbucks within 1/2 mile of another one to my home that seems busy most of the time. Go figure!
Even in good times I refuse to pay $8-$10 per person for a cup of coffee
McDonald's coffee, make your own, I got a deal on cold brew coffee at Costco.
No more $9 coffee 😲😬
This must be an old video. They replaced the CEO. Why IS IT POSTED NOW?
I'm definitely I'm one of the 14, and its not because I can't afford it!
Azul - how can things go from being so rosy to now being dire? I believed every statistic the feds gave us!! 😂😂
Things haven’t been rosy for a while now. Some of us need to take off those rose colored glasses. 🤔
How old is this video? That CEO was fired on August 13th.
It’s funny how it’s all the companies who deliver overpriced, unnecessary products and services blaming it on the consumer when they just kept raising pricing without restraint. Starbucks, Disney, McDonalds, etc.
I want to see Disney share prices tumble more. That company is garbage.
Oh no, oh no people can’t afford to be ripped off over a cup of coffee? This is how we gauge the economy? I’ve survived 65 years and only had 1 cup of coffee at Starbucks in my life. And it was horrible . People who do trendy things just because some other fool is doing it deserves to go broke.
Should you buy long SBUX, or bet short ?
I'm glad you showed the over inflated price increase by these businesses relative to actual inflation. it's the only way they continue increase their earnings and subsequently the price of their stock. Starbucks is notorious for this abuse of a consumer who doesn't seem to value their money. A group of co-workers, my self included once frequented a local Starbucks for afternoon tea. we quickly realized you could buy the tea bags (Chai) in Starbucks pay for a cup of hot water with couple pumps of Chai syrup add your tea bag. This savings was about 60% vs buying the overpriced Tea drink directly from Starbucks. Needless to say this went on for several months until we were told by store management that Corporate restricted them from allowing customers to use the Teabags they just bought and could no longer sell cups of hot water with syrup..... was hilarious listening to the explanation. No Love for the starBucks, hope they find away to make it work.
Starbucks coffee tastes like liquid cigarettes. Overpriced too. Got over that place years ago.
A CEO of another worthless fluff company. Coffee? ha ha ha all junk.
How much of this is related to 2024 being an election year? Especially when 2020 was the most recent parallel year cited......
Never go
Boycott starbucks
I haven't liked SBUX since Howard Schultz lied and gave the Supersonics away to OKC.
Different CEO now
Love your channel, but you don’t get views or likes by misleading audience. Stay focused on the essentials instead of embellishing a headline about the luxury items or wants.
I really don't like starbucks it costa latte
I rather go DD instead of Starbucks
Trump 2024, Save America.
This isn’t Faux news 😂 Dow under Trump 26k under Harris 42k
@@dantheman6607 It's not communist news either. Children targeted, home prices up, border open, privileges to non citizens, war, division, rights taken away, inflation, etc. Harris is running under Trump's economy, but that's running out. With her tax plan, things will get worse,
two words for you, Azul: Dutch Bros! 😂
I wonder if some of Starbucks' decline isn't the fact that years ago you were served by a friendly, helpful person, and now you are more often than not to see some woke freak making your coffee.
I remember on or the Biden debates so vividly, they asked him “what would you do about XYZ”. His answer “you’ll find out when I’m in”. Unbelievable. I don’t think you could get the worst of jobs with an answer like that
I don't know if you've been following the news lately, but Biden is not running for president any more.
Absolutely no one needs to go to Starbucks ever!
The vast majority of businesses provide goods and services that no one needs.
Go only as a treat/dessert, when you can afford it, it's not an all or nothing proposition.
No one needs more than rice and beans and carrots at home. That’s not the point Azul is making.
@@davegenet and don't look at the inside of a restaurant unless you work there
Where will I get gutter water then?
Laxman is not CEO of SuxBucks anymore.
And yet Arizona Iced Tea is still 99 cents, no increase at all. Maybe that's a better story
Good one. Yes it is.
The fat electrician has a GREAT video on Arizona tea. Love that dude!
Arizona tea is awesome!!! Keeps me coming back for more because they don't stick it to the consumer!!
I love that fairytale. The reality is it was overpriced to begin with so they can afford not raising their prices. The most expensive component is probably the can
your right!! Next time I'll do the analytics. 👍
The consumer is becoming wiser! Plain and simple! They realize that $7 cups of coffee are vullshit.
It is also happening in many other luxury spending areas such as movies and video games. People are tired of all the nonsense and holding companies accountable for quality or lack of. I used to not complain about video games since they have been pretty much the same price they were in the 1990's until this year where prices have skyrocketed with all sorts of gimmicks while releasing horribly designed games. Movies, movies been bad for a very long time. Thank goodness for home streaming where the quality is incredible many times along with sure to be not so great entertainment.
I agree, I think that people are tired of the advantage that companies are taking of the consumer while they blame it all on inflation
Wow, it’s it up to 7 bucks? That’s insane!
It’s a shame that you reverted to fear mongering for views.
A lot of your info is useful and informative.
Starbucks situation has nothing to do with the overall health of the economy, it simply has to do with their coffee not being worth what they want to charge for it. Simple really, people are finally realizing there are too many other options as good or better for less.
Pay the people at the top less money and lower your prices. You might be amazed at the difference. America consumers are starting to get wise to the greed of corporate America.
Hey! Just keep making “shareholder value” the most important thing in business and watch us not engage with those brands any longer.
I love watching them scratch their heads and wonder what happened.
Nobody needs Starbucks.
My kid who works there does.
