Update liveries is nice. As well as properly sorting the hybrid behaviour in race, 397 needs to provide race weekend setup including reverse grid for r3 and an easier way to create in game championships. I don’t think we will see this unless MSG releases the separate BTCC title. I’m not holding my breath. MSG takeover has been a disaster really.😢
I completely agree with you here, there needs to be a proper system in place for running BTCC weekends, it’s quite frustrating trying to set it up yourself and not being able to properly do reverse grid races etc. Cheers for the comments fella, appreciate it👍
@@TheLoamCourierMTB cheers mate! I’ve done custom champ setup in the past using an external server, MAS utility tool, batch files for ballast penalties/reverse grid and custom talent ai files. It’s so tedious to set up, way too difficult for an average user to configure. Had fun with it but no time anymore to invest in all that.
@@kevin_m See that sounds like fucking bliss to me mate, actually having all the wee in depth parts of a proper BTCC race in this game. It would be really cool to have the ballast systems all work too as I’ve experimented in the past with the full ballast and it really becomes tactical AF with how you set the car up and handle the race. I started off playing racing games through my dad’s old Rally games on the PS2 and the og Colin MacRae dirt, then a couple years ago my best pal got assetto and a Logitech wheel so I ended up getting my own last year, my old man’s always been into racing but it’s now too expensive for us to consider, because we both ride mountain bikes too and that’s very expensive too🤣 but this sim racing stuff really scratches the motorsport itch, I’ve got my old Corsa B I plan on restoring this year and next but playing around on these games is nice, you get the feeling of racing but none of the maintenance/build costs🤣👌
@@thelonecouriergaming amazing ya. Road bike myself and know the costs for that gear well. MacRae was a great game had that too. I’m prob a bit older than you as I started on PS1 in my late teens with F1 Championship then GT1, first wheel was g27 2009 then onto PC where it escalated from there :) I did manage to recreate a decent BTCC season and even did all the liveries for the 2019 teams. I used the NGTC mod on rf2 for the cars/tracks that were missing and just used the Honda for cars that didn’t exist. Fun times but like HOURS of time to create. Like weeks. No regrets but not doing it again. I want a proper BTCC title dangit! All the best from here in 🇨🇦 man!
@@kevin_m Top guy, I’d imagine there’s some crazy views over by you. There’s some top class mtb trails over in Canada as well, how do you watch the BTCC over there?
Absolutely agree with this, definitely could do with a couple more manufacturers in the grid too. There’s chat about the Mercs possibly making a comeback, maybe one time will bring the Audis back too hopefully. Need some more colour on the grid too, there was too many black cars on it in 2022 I think.
Hey there, I’ll be 100% honest mate I’ve no actually played about with the online multiplayer on this game I’ve just playing it single player against ai drivers. I just set up off line matches against bots and that works for me but there’s a lot of different online servers you can search for too👍
As of right now, it’s not available on either console. However the company does have a dedicated BTCC game in the works that will be on console. It’s a bit of a shame how little options there are on console for types of motorsport like this, there’s tons of old school super tourer era cars on assetto Corsa, it’s just a shame this stuff isn’t on console.
I’m usually an optimist, but MSG has me feeling the opposite with regards to ever producing a BTCC dedicated title. At least we can fake it w rf2 for now.
@@kevin_m Yeah the more I’m actually starting to find out about MSG behind the scenes it’s no the most reassuring. Especially their carry on with the Virtual Le Mans, watched Jimmy Broadbent’s video about it the other day and it doesn’t fill me with confidence for their full BTCC game. I suppose we can only hope it’ll be be good🤞
Download the game on Steam on your PC then you can either buy all the BTCC cars or you can search on the steam workshop and find some of the BTCC NGTC cars in there. They’re not the newest 2021/22 skins but they have the Subaru Lavorg and the Merc A45 etc. I’d start off with the Infiniti/Toyota Corolla pack and see how you get on with those first👍

Great video, only car from the 90's you forgot to mention was the Mondeo🤣
Wasn’t too keen on the Mondeo myself! Quite a nice car in the blue/yellow kwik fit colours tough
Would love to see the Audi that was in the BTCC a couple of years ago. Too many hatchbacks now.

@@thelonecouriergaming I've heard the BTCC-game is cancelled and this rF2-DLCs are basically covering it.
