I do agree with the devs' decision to make 7-10 just ultimate battle. It was really unnecessary to add another boss on each world but if I recall correctly, someone said that the mod will have a total of 10 worlds. World 10 would actually have a final boss instead.
As one of about 7 total Pvz2 Electric Currant fans, I really like the really unique mechanics of each plant and zombie, while not just being some "It's this but a direct upgrade/downgrade" like most new Pvz2 plants nowdays.
2:06 damn, this already amazing mod now has some sort of a level select system, I can't wait to see how it turns out (tip: try to make the level select menu like the pvz hybrid level select menu in the future)
I'm so happy with the progress of the project! It actually feels like PvZ 1 with its simple yet interesting gimmicks, like discovering the game for the first time again :D looking forward to see the next levels! Everyone did a great job! My favorite detail was that Bravery-Shroom actually does the opposite of Scadery-Shroom. It adds charm and personality in the PvZ Style ❤️
I've been waiting for this even since Samen announced a new world. I am looking forward to the new update of "DLC Mod". The PvZ Modding Community has been making the game much better and refreshing... keep up the good work
(I am writing through a translator) You can split the adventure mode into two parts. the first includes the first six stages, and the second part includes everything from the seventh stage. you can split the adventure button into two halves, and give the player a choice after defeating the zomboss - go to a repeat of the first adventure or start the forest. I came up with this feature because the sixth and seventh stages are too different and this way you can make a smoother transition between them.
It's a nice idea, it's exactly how I imagined my long dream of making a PVZ fangame to be like, two different adventure modes, the second being the expansion which doubles the lenght of the game
As for the story, the second adventure could be themed around the player and sgt. samson travelling around diffrent places to stop the local zombie attacks?

Thankfully Samson saving you in the nick of time, just before the Zombies ate your brain. Second Adventure becomes 1st Escape from the oncoming horde. 2nd Rescue Dave. 3rd Hide from the zombies until getting prepared. 4th Retake Homeowner's House. 5th ??? 6th Party!
This is SO good! The new mini-game is awesome, the new world is so cool, and I'm really digging the new currencies! Also, the plants, and especially zombies, look like they were drawn by the game's original animators! Seriously, I didn't think anyone would hit THAT close. My favorite ones are Bonk Choy & Thorn Moss :D Not only that, I also LOVE all their gimmicks, especially the one that's being added to Lemon-nade! Well done to all of you who worked on the mod! But honestly, with how well produced the mod is it does worry me that we might see it get taken down by the one who shall not be mentioned, and it really worries me considering what's been happening lately. And who knows, more mods for the game might net EA more sales for PvZ 1, so imo it seems unlikely that the community DLC mod will get taken down
This is too good, it feels too good to be real, many years ago a very younger me was looking through PVZ mods and they were all crappy resprites that made the game look awful, never had I imagined it had the potential to become something as big and amazing as this... the art is incredible too, it feels official! And whoever is the designer of the new plants is doing an amazing job too, this is a long dream come true!
It would be cool if the Gargantuar's weapons changed to fit with the outdoor aesthetic. Instead of a utility pole or a XING sign they could attack with a birch tree or a wooden crossroads sign or a canoe that can be seen floating at the start of the level.
I just thought of something. Ever since the pool was introduced, it introduces its ambush mecahnic where mutiple zombies spawn even at daytime. Same goes with roof. If we continue the formula where a world features an ambush mechanic, it would spawn zombies from bushes. Of course this can be set aside since you were nearly done and just started polsihing update. It would take another month to implement, rebalance and playtest for that one feature.
can i just say that out of all the pvz mods, this one is on my list of top fav mods you and your team are so creative with the gimmicks and plants and everything else i hope this mod keeps going strong for the future keep up the good work!
For the 8th world it can have the freeze plants gimmick that you thought for world 6 It can have the fire pea,plasma pea and chilly pepper you have since you didn't added they in this world
The only thing I don’t like about this mod is how the 10th level in world 7 had no gimmick. Like the fog had the thunderstorm, the roof (or I guess the night roof in this mod) had the zombot fight I wished you guys followed the trend. But aside from that, great work on the mod! You guys did such a good job at not only adding new content into the game but also making them feel more PvZ1-ish.
This is amazing, can’t wait for what we could see in a world 8 and even 9. The ideas are great. Soon enough we could be seeing worlds that are set in a city or even out at sea on a boat
idea: add a mini game called "world war pea" where it is just 5-9 with 3x as many zombies and they are all pea shooter zombotanys that all one shot shooters and support plants but are blocked by walls and you could add like, IDK zombie tanks? do whatever tf you want.
Looks awesome! I do have some issues with the balancing tho Beeshooter should be 150 sun I think. Having it be 100 sun is a bit op and makes Split Pea completely redundant. King Cactus is too expensive. Its total cost is 425, and doesn’t seem to do enough damage to really justify it. Like at that point just use Starfruit. Reduce the upgrade cost from 300 to 175. Oak Archer does way too much damage for the sun cost. A Repeater can kill a basic zombie on the 9th column in about 9 sec, and from what I can tell by slowing down the video, Oak Archer seems to be able to kill a basic in about 3.5 sec from the 9th column, all while costing 25 sun less. Maybe increase the sun cost to 250? Otherwise this looks amazing! When could we expect a release date for the update? Really looking forward to playing it!

A few ideas. like how zombiws have a rare chace to choke on wallnut, give the hunters rifle a super rare chance to backfire, blowing up and ending the zombie. Oak Archers arrows should be able to be lit up by torchwood. Robin Wood should be a shop plant upgrade for oak archer where crit damage and rate go up but leaving the rest of the stats alone. make an endless waves version of the woods area for "more ways to play". I just wanted to point out, Bonk Choy’s almanac entry seems to be missing a quotation mark in his dialogue. The same can be said for Chard Guard who clearly has dialogue, but no quotations.
New Plant Ideas Sweet Pea: Shoots “sweet peas” at a rate slower than a regular Peashooter, but its shots deal poison damage, draining a zombie’s health. The poison status disappears after a while. (150/175 sun, average recharge) Acidic Citrus- Shoots lemon juice at zombies. It does regular damage on the surface but when a zombie with metal items/armor is hit, it deals double damage. (200 Sun, slow recharge) Snapdragon- Exactly like its PVZ2 counterpart. The only notable change is that it does double damage to Ice Block Zombies. (150 Sun, Fast Recharge)
OK I love this mod, but I have a few issues: (Balancing) * Beashooter Seems to be Peashooter but Better. Perhaps Increase the price? Given all of its mechanics, like countering the bush mechanic, balloon zombies, and faster attack speed, it should cost 175 sun * Thorn moss seems very strong. PVZ does not really have any, "special exceptions", as in 30 seconds of immunity to pulling, which feels really would feel unfun. I think it honestly needs a rework. Perhaps every zombie that steps on it is immobile for 1.5 seconds, and cannot be stunned by the same thorn moss again. This is a big nerf, but for a plant that costs 150 sun, it is still good * Ampliflower is really neat, but Honestly just make sure it costs like 150 sun, and maybe has a long cooldown of like 20-30s? * Shrinking Violet is cool. Nice job! * I uhh.. VIne nut is interesting. I like it enough * Bonk choy returns! * Why did you add the blover combo. I am sorry there was no reason to add it. * King cactus looks interesting, but honestly unviable. The cost looks to be about 425, which is a lot, and seems to be very inconsistent. Unless your strategy is king cactus, he does not seem to be that useful. * I actually love most of the new zombies, but the hunter zombie should not do an instant kill. Perhaps it would do a lot of damage, maybe able to 2 shot a wall nut, and 3 shot a tall nut. This would be to still have functionality for them. * Bravery Shroom is a decent concept, and a nice spin on the scaredy shroom. I like it a bit * Oak archer is pretty neat, but besides the critical hit, is not very different from a beashooter. I mean it does not have to be, but perhaps the Oak archer could fire across the two adjacent lane as well. To balance this, make the cost 200 instead of 175. Also just do not add RNG into this. Maybe make the first attack be a critical? This would be really good against many weak zombies, mainly good for early game. This is a really neat plant honestly * Lemgrenade is neat, but I would increase the sun cost to 225, just purely for wiping out nearly all the bushes, and low tier zombies Overall a really neat mod! I would love to see what you have planned next!
I feel like Oak Archer could help differentiate itself from Beashooter by having more HP. I mean, Oak Archer is still a tree trunk. It might have half the HP of a Wall-Nut and I also agree that it need to be combined with Torchwood for more DPS from its arrows. Other than that, it might need an increase in Sun to balance it out a bit: example, 200 Sun (only if you stick with the idea of Oak Archer having more HP)

@Samen New 8th world idea: Rain New gimmicks: every few waves puddle tiles will Appear similar to how the bush gummick works, and u will be able to plant aquatic plants on them not only that but every 90 seconds lighting will strike causing the power/ lights to go out, causing everything to go dark ( inspired by "dark and stromy night" minigame) . Plants: i thought it would be cool to introduce vine plants in this world. For example a new vine plant idea i had was called the "vine shroom" that was similar to the puff shroom but helps boost up plants in the mushroom family increasing damage and adding more firepower. I also think adding the "pea vine" plant would be pretty cool too. Hopefully, someone see this hope u like it! :) ( And if u r wondering yes, it takes place at night in the woods)
I haven't finished watching all of your PvZ DLC mod videos (I will) but I had a plant idea that I thought would be interesting. Since you added (at least) 2 new peppers, chilly pepper and pickled pepper, I thought you could add a banana pepper, a yellow pepper that would attack diagonally (either forward, like < or all 4 directions, like x). The idea is that you could attack other lanes as you do with pickled pepper, but you'd also be able to hit zombies forward (and/or backward) on the lawn, effectively combining the uses of jalapeno and pickled pepper, while not being too overpowered by attacking directly down one lane and column.
Whatever I want now: Bee shooter recharge for 30 seconds. Levels 7-5 and 7-10 have 4 flags each. Fisherman Zombie stun plants for 20-25 seconds. Let Bigfoot and Yeti zombies spawn in the same attempt of any level in the game.

This is the first time i heard about this mod and it looks great. Props to everyone who work on this! Although some of the new plant animation seems a bit janky, it's not ruining the whole gameplay If there is one thing that i kinda feel uneasy is the lumberjack wood. Idk why but i feel like the wood that he carry vs when he put down isn't the same size. Also it seems the height when put down, visually, can't even block the incoming projectile. It is just a bit shorter than the projectile it seems to supposedly block

Plant ideas to add in world 8: Dart shroom: can only be planted on the first 5 column otherwise he'll just do nothing Roto shroom: can be attacked manually, only shoots spores in all 8 directions Vacuum shroom: attaracts all zombies in 3×3 lane. Zoom shroom: instant use, attaracts al zombies and having jalapeno like explosion. Tactical cuke: much like doom shroom but can insta kill a garg and mechs but very costly. Flame-ulina shroom: instant use, diagonal jalapeno explsosion.
I love THIS mod, the beautiful work, innovation but it's still pvz 1 it's crazy, ed I look forward to the day when the vs mode comes out and creates a competitive niche meta game, it will be strange but great
cool mod. couple of changes I would make: - Beeshooter seems a little too strong at only 100 sun. I would 100% increase its cost to at least 125 sun, maybe even 150 although that might be too much of a nerf and I understand if anyone disagrees with that - At the end of 7-9 when you get the note, I would add at the end of the note after it says The Park Rangers '(Not the zombies)' because that is used in one of the official notes.
Here's an idea, how about a driveway/garage level? Imagine the zombies pulling up in cars to eat your plants lol. Also a mechanic could be that u can't plant on half the lawn cuz then the road would be there

This is amazing, can’t wait for what we could see in a world 8 and even 9. The ideas are great. Soon enough we could be seeing worlds that are set in a city or even out at sea on a boat

idea: add a mini game called "world war pea" where it is just 5-9 with 3x as many zombies and they are all pea shooter zombotanys that all one shot shooters and support plants but are blocked by walls and you could add like, IDK zombie tanks? do whatever tf you want.

Beeshooter should be 150 sun I think. Having it be 100 sun is a bit op and makes Split Pea completely redundant.
King Cactus is too expensive. Its total cost is 425, and doesn’t seem to do enough damage to really justify it. Like at that point just use Starfruit. Reduce the upgrade cost from 300 to 175.
Oak Archer does way too much damage for the sun cost. A Repeater can kill a basic zombie on the 9th column in about 9 sec, and from what I can tell by slowing down the video, Oak Archer seems to be able to kill a basic in about 3.5 sec from the 9th column, all while costing 25 sun less. Maybe increase the sun cost to 250?
Otherwise this looks amazing! When could we expect a release date for the update? Really looking forward to playing it!

A few ideas.
like how zombiws have a rare chace to choke on wallnut, give the hunters rifle a super rare chance to backfire, blowing up and ending the zombie.
Oak Archers arrows should be able to be lit up by torchwood.
Robin Wood should be a shop plant upgrade for oak archer where crit damage and rate go up but leaving the rest of the stats alone.
make an endless waves version of the woods area for "more ways to play".

Idea: coral-pult, throws bubbles at the same firerate as a peashooter while keeping the damage of the cabbage pult, they also slow zombies down, but it’s a nighttime aquatic plant that costs 200 sun to plant + coffee bean + water pot

I just wanted to point out, Bonk Choy’s almanac entry seems to be missing a quotation mark in his dialogue.
The same can be said for Chard Guard who clearly has dialogue, but no quotations.
New Plant Ideas
Sweet Pea: Shoots “sweet peas” at a rate slower than a regular Peashooter, but its shots deal poison damage, draining a zombie’s health. The poison status disappears after a while. (150/175 sun, average recharge)
Acidic Citrus- Shoots lemon juice at zombies. It does regular damage on the surface but when a zombie with metal items/armor is hit, it deals double damage. (200 Sun, slow recharge)
Snapdragon- Exactly like its PVZ2 counterpart. The only notable change is that it does double damage to Ice Block Zombies. (150 Sun, Fast Recharge)

OK I love this mod, but I have a few issues: (Balancing)
* Beashooter Seems to be Peashooter but Better. Perhaps Increase the price? Given all of its mechanics, like countering the bush mechanic, balloon zombies, and faster attack speed, it should cost 175 sun
* Thorn moss seems very strong. PVZ does not really have any, "special exceptions", as in 30 seconds of immunity to pulling, which feels really would feel unfun. I think it honestly needs a rework. Perhaps every zombie that steps on it is immobile for 1.5 seconds, and cannot be stunned by the same thorn moss again. This is a big nerf, but for a plant that costs 150 sun, it is still good
* Ampliflower is really neat, but Honestly just make sure it costs like 150 sun, and maybe has a long cooldown of like 20-30s?
* Shrinking Violet is cool. Nice job!
* I uhh.. VIne nut is interesting. I like it enough
* Bonk choy returns!
* Why did you add the blover combo. I am sorry there was no reason to add it.
* King cactus looks interesting, but honestly unviable. The cost looks to be about 425, which is a lot, and seems to be very inconsistent. Unless your strategy is king cactus, he does not seem to be that useful.
* I actually love most of the new zombies, but the hunter zombie should not do an instant kill. Perhaps it would do a lot of damage, maybe able to 2 shot a wall nut, and 3 shot a tall nut. This would be to still have functionality for them.
* Bravery Shroom is a decent concept, and a nice spin on the scaredy shroom. I like it a bit
* Oak archer is pretty neat, but besides the critical hit, is not very different from a beashooter. I mean it does not have to be, but perhaps the Oak archer could fire across the two adjacent lane as well. To balance this, make the cost 200 instead of 175. Also just do not add RNG into this. Maybe make the first attack be a critical? This would be really good against many weak zombies, mainly good for early game. This is a really neat plant honestly
* Lemgrenade is neat, but I would increase the sun cost to 225, just purely for wiping out nearly all the bushes, and low tier zombies
Overall a really neat mod! I would love to see what you have planned next!
I feel like Oak Archer could help differentiate itself from Beashooter by having more HP. I mean, Oak Archer is still a tree trunk. It might have half the HP of a Wall-Nut and I also agree that it need to be combined with Torchwood for more DPS from its arrows.
Other than that, it might need an increase in Sun to balance it out a bit: example, 200 Sun (only if you stick with the idea of Oak Archer having more HP)
Rng is also in the base game with the butter of corn catapults

New gimmicks: every few waves puddle tiles will Appear similar to how the bush gummick works, and u will be able to plant aquatic plants on them not only that but every 90 seconds lighting will strike causing the power/ lights to go out, causing everything to go dark ( inspired by "dark and stromy night" minigame) .
Plants: i thought it would be cool to introduce vine plants in this world. For example a new vine plant idea i had was called the "vine shroom" that was similar to the puff shroom but helps boost up plants in the mushroom family increasing damage and adding more firepower. I also think adding the "pea vine" plant would be pretty cool too. Hopefully, someone see this hope u like it! :)

I haven't finished watching all of your PvZ DLC mod videos (I will) but I had a plant idea that I thought would be interesting. Since you added (at least) 2 new peppers, chilly pepper and pickled pepper, I thought you could add a banana pepper, a yellow pepper that would attack diagonally (either forward, like < or all 4 directions, like x). The idea is that you could attack other lanes as you do with pickled pepper, but you'd also be able to hit zombies forward (and/or backward) on the lawn, effectively combining the uses of jalapeno and pickled pepper, while not being too overpowered by attacking directly down one lane and column.
For me, this is what Plants Vs Zombies GOTY should have been in 2010

Levels 7-5 and 7-10 have 4 flags each.
Fisherman Zombie stun plants for 20-25 seconds.
Let Bigfoot and Yeti zombies spawn in the same attempt of any level in the game.

very good adjusments but I strongly disagree with bee shooter's recharge being 30 seconds, I think it should've cost 125 or 150 sun or it should still cost 100 sun but does light damage

This is because world 7 is much different compared to the rest of the adventure mode and the npc that talks to you isn't even crazy dave

This is the first time i heard about this mod and it looks great. Props to everyone who work on this! Although some of the new plant animation seems a bit janky, it's not ruining the whole gameplay
If there is one thing that i kinda feel uneasy is the lumberjack wood. Idk why but i feel like the wood that he carry vs when he put down isn't the same size. Also it seems the height when put down, visually, can't even block the incoming projectile. It is just a bit shorter than the projectile it seems to supposedly block

Plant ideas to add in world 8:
Dart shroom: can only be planted on the first 5 column otherwise he'll just
do nothing
Roto shroom: can be attacked manually, only shoots spores in all 8 directions
Vacuum shroom: attaracts all zombies in 3×3 lane.
Zoom shroom: instant use, attaracts al zombies and having jalapeno like explosion.
Tactical cuke: much like doom shroom but can insta kill a garg and mechs but very costly.
Flame-ulina shroom: instant use, diagonal jalapeno explsosion.

I love THIS mod, the beautiful work, innovation but it's still pvz 1 it's crazy, ed I look forward to the day when the vs mode comes out and creates a competitive niche meta game, it will be strange but great
cool mod. couple of changes I would make:
- Beeshooter seems a little too strong at only 100 sun. I would 100% increase its cost to at least 125 sun, maybe even 150 although that might be too much of a nerf and I understand if anyone disagrees with that
- At the end of 7-9 when you get the note, I would add at the end of the note after it says The Park Rangers '(Not the zombies)' because that is used in one of the official notes.

Here's an idea, how about a driveway/garage level? Imagine the zombies pulling up in cars to eat your plants lol. Also a mechanic could be that u can't plant on half the lawn cuz then the road would be there
