Respected Sir, I have been watching your channel for several years now and your extensive knowledge and deep study on Vedas and trying to connect that to modern science has always amazed me. I specially liked your scientific approach to conducting vedas last year in light of this corona virus and I also contributed my little bit for these yagnams as I was amazed at your scientific temper and humane approach.
I have studied the book 'Satyartha Prakash' of Swami Dayananda Saraswati and also the social life of Indians at that time. In my view, Swami Dayananda Saraswati was a great social reformer who fought to bring about a change in casting-off evil practices, bring all on to one platform and give confidence to the native people to be proud of their culture. There was no doubt in that he was a great social reformer but being a human he is not perfection nor all of his interpretations could be perfect. In his zeal to bring all onto one platform and of the prevailing circumstances forced him to become fundamentalist in his views which is no different to Islam or early Christian missionaries. In Sanatana Dharma, there is NO 'only one absolute path' (else various schools of philosophy would not have been found), there are many paths to realize peace within and get moksha (liberation). That is the reason, various saints/teachers/sages like Adi Shankaracharya, Ramanujacharya, Madhwacharya, Swami Dayananda Saraswati gave various interpretations and paths to achieve liberation. I consider all of them to be great and had their own way in realizing their path to peace, but I will not agree with any of them in their view of saying their path is the only correct path/way.
In my view, we cannot be sure that the Vedas themselves which we have at present are not in corrupted form / fully available (as some could be lost), because I learnt that various verses of the Vedas are repeated (I will make a separate text on this once I find the repetitive verses in various vedas like verses of Rig Veda being present in Sama Veda) and also some of the verses in the Vedas are very inefficient (for example if God was the author/ some of the vedic verses not being corrupt, then one would pray for the full wellbeing of the human instead of asking for every part like protect eyes/ears and so on). Similarly, there are many references to various devatas (again each scholar has various interpretations saying they are elements) but in Upanishads there are specific references to Indra being a person and so on.
So, in a nut shell after reading various commentaries, biographies of saints and understanding our cultural ethos, I can only come to the conclusion that there is no single absolute way to achieve liberation, but there are various ways to achieve them (since various great saints cannot be liars). Hence being rigid in ways and being critical of other paths is detrimental and quite opposite to the free spirit and thought process of the people associated with Sanatana Dharma.
Swami Dayananda Saraswati says below with regards to marriage, does anyone support such claim? This shows that even though Swami Dayananda Saraswati was a great social reformer but he was not exempt from making errors or false claims. As one can clearly see from the below, Swami Dayananda Saraswati claims that a woman of 24years of age when she marries a man of 48 years age, that will be the best kind of marriage.

What time and kind of marriage are the best?
The best time for a girl's marriage is when she is from 16 to 24 years of age, and for a youth when he is 25 to 48 years of age. The marriage of a girl of 16 and a youth of 25 years is of the lowest order; of a girl of 18 or 20 years and a youth of 30, 35, or 40 years of the middle order; of a maid of 24 and a bachelor of 48 years is of the best kind.
