What brand of clay do you recommend? One time I got this one brand of clay and it was all hard and every time I tried shaping the clay, it kept braking into pieces, and it made a mess. :/
Also, when I finally got the clay to work with me, everything went fine, and I put it in the oven, but now everything I made broke. Do you think I should start glazing too?
Sophia Meehan Hey Sophia! My favourite brand of clay is Premo. Clay can at first be brittle, so make sure you're softening it with your hands and it should get easier to work with. In terms of your pieces breaking, make sure you're letting your pieces cool completely before handling them. I have a beginner's guide series which you might be interested in: ruclips.net/p/PL4zjz7BY5xHbfWlz2mV_6fSetV2sCa2GH Hope that helps! :)
I love the summery polymer clay pine apple idea < it turn out so cute and really good !:) next I think you should make a animal like a some cute polymer clay whales! :)
I really wish I could do more polymer clay projects, but I don't have anything to bake them in. I have been told that I shouldn't bake clay in the same oven as food, so I've been looking for a toaster oven or something, but I've been having trouble finding anything within my teeny-tiny budget. Any suggestions?
You could bake clay and food in the same oven. Polymer clay is non toxic so it's fine!! But if your a little paranoid then you could go buy a toaster oven. Usually they are 20-30 dollars, but if you're on a small budget you can try thirt shops or secondhand shops-they will be cheaper!! If you can't find it there you can wait to Black Friday if you live in America. Hope it helps!!
Rising Phoenix Blue I bake clay in the same oven I bake food in. From what I know, it's not a health problem at all as long as you don't over bake/burn the clay.
You can use a regular oven or a toaster oven! I personally prefer using my toaster oven because if you only make one thing you don't have to heat up the whole oven and waste a lot of time.
Rising Phoenix Blue I actually found my toaster oven in a yard sale for only 1 dollar! In the mean time though (as others have mentioned), it's totally fine to bake your pieces in the same oven as you do with food (it's non-toxic!). Just be sure to clean your oven every so often.
I'm so happy you made another tutorial! I love this pineapple! Hopefully you'll be making some more videos soon! 😄
