Just got mine. Killer look and sound.
Amazing. I bought a custom built sparkle blue burst almost 10 years ago, but with a 5way selector switch and a on/off toggle.
I replaced all electronics; I had a complete cavity including Slash pickups from A Gibson Studio. Bridge and tail piece too. There was some fret buzz, I managed to clear away.
All in all including "Anomaly" hand painted headstock and a Dimarzio super distortion (no Gibson name and off cause not including the original Gibson parts and Slash pickup) I paid $412. It was made to my specs. It took 8 months from initial request to delivery.
I just received my Chibson Ace Frehley guitar after watching your unboxing and I LLOOVVEE IT!!! I purchased a case and got an Ace Frehley decal on put it on the outside of the case. I also had an Ace iron on which I glued inside the case. My guitar snobby friends thought it was a real Gibson so I let them play it and amazed them and told them the truth and they were shocked lol. 🎸🎸🤘🏻🤘🏻

I found this channel with the picture of Ace and it mentioned unboxing so I clicked and watched all 3 videos of you going through everything about that classic guitar that Ace used to play on a few songs now if there was a way to have Ace Autograph it then you may have to put it up for display. Yes it obviously can sound like Cold Gin! Good job on this, you could've stepped on stage for Ace with a guitar like this back in the day and pulled it off fine. I'd enjoy hearing you cover Black Diamond, that's my favorite Kiss cover to play. I bet you know it.

@@FultonStreetBeats You're welcome! Give Black Diamond a good listen again and get the feel, it's a little more melodic than the usual Kiss fare. It's interesting to learn, dramatic chord progression, some arpeggios and chord melodies to go with the standard tricks that make it sound more difficult than it is. Not too hard technically but you have to learn the parts and then integrate them. Even if you never perform it, it's a fun one to work on and do what you can with it just for fun. For Kiss, it was more of a composition than a riff-and-chord song, with some pretty deep lyrics. Oh well, catch ya later.

I have a question I am hoping you will answer. I have a 2018 Epiphone Les Paul that I found out was made in Qingdao, China. I paid $400 for it. I have seen copies of others that I like from the same location. What is the difference and would it matter if I bought a less expensive copy from that factory? Thanks, I love your channel.
In my experience, most replicas these days have a good build quality with decent hardware. The most common things that may need replacing are tuners and electronics. Although I must say that lately they have also been very good on most replicas. As far as QC goes, now most are on the same level as, or close to the better Epiphones. @ElvisPretzel-rv3bg thanks brother. Most of the stuff I've been playing RUclips blocks because of copyright. I can't even play it if I don't monetize it. Tons of AC/DC tone. But I'm not allowed to show it in a mix. Apparently, this happens when a band is about to come out with a new album. Funny I see tons of people who played things in the past on RUclips. But now you can't. Its Frustrating. How do I show of Angus tone on a Angus guitar without playing Angus licks? Lol. Funny world we live in. I know you put up the ebay account and the name of the factory but have you or can you contact them directly? And if so how? I ask because I am seeing some without some of the cool stuff like the mirror PU rings, the clear knobs & the glitter pickups. I totally want those!!

I've gone back and forth about ordering one of these. Did you have to do anything to it or did it sound like that out the box? I know for $300 versus $8000 you can't complain and you get what you pay for but even $300 is a lot of money to me . I had one of the Epiphone Cherry Sunburst Ace Frehley from the late 90's and I loved that guitar. Unfortunately I lost it and I don't want to think about the rest I lost in a house fire January 2017. Anyway if you have the time I would really like to know if you had to do anything to it. And cool shirt by the way!!

@@FultonStreetBeats yeah I saw that vid! I did notice the rainbow… I just got a silver sparkle 335 and I am seeing a lot of rainbow. But it doesn’t show up as easily on camera, so I’m thinking it pretty much looks silver to most people in the audience. That’s good! Love your videos man!

@FULTON STREET BEATS. Question for you...i have 2 Ace Sparkle Chibsons after watching your reviews, and my neck pickups dont seem to work. Tap them with screwdrivers and I dont hear the pickups make noise, tapping sound. Does yours do that as well? Trying to figure out if its not wired correctly. Lead and middle positions work on toggle switch but 3rs position, rhyrhm(neck) position =no sound. Bridge and middle pickups work. Any help/suggestions you might have are greatly apprieciated.

I have 2 because my wife ordered one for me for my birthday without realizing i ordered one.
All three work on mine. But it could be an unhooked pickup at the neck. ACE did not have a functional pickup at the neck. Perhaps they just did it like his.

@FultonStreetBeats I am really impressed with the overall quality. The craftsmanship is really done well. I have several Firefly Gibson style guitars and the Chibson guitars I own are as good as those. And they are built really well. A friend of mine, a Gibson dealer for years said the Fireflies are built as good or better than most Gibsons. I rank the Chibsons up there also.

The only thing to do to a Chibson guitar is put it in a Chipper.
